     "Michael, just pull the trigger"

I closed my eyes and imagined being in a life or death situation. I tried to picture myself shooting at the flashy rebels, but I could only see myself shooting at the opposite side. Rays of light flashed against my shoulder. I stumbled toward the ground.

My shoulder burned in pain. I was waiting for everything to go black. Waiting for death. Death didn't come at all. Instead, an angel in black, painted smile appeared in my vision, tears in his beautiful eyes.

"Pete"

I knew him. Pete. I know him. Pete. I love-

"Michael wake up!"

Like a wave of water, I blinked rapidly at what was around me. He tossed a gun towards me, leaving it to clang on the ground.

"Get up, join quadrant three on patrol in the zones. You leave in ten minutes, in that time I expect you to be in your uniform and ready to go. Any questions?" He said.

I shook my head and murmured, "no sir"

In response a sharp slap cut across my face, "Don't talk."

I think people are reading this and I'm actually confused on why.
