Day One.

After kissing Zoe last night, Teddy expected something to happen. He didn't know if it would be the same shit that happened the last time they went viral but, he expected something because, the photos and videos of them kissing last night did get posted online and the internet clung to them just like they clung to the fight video. Teddy wasn't surprised but, he also didn't do that in hopes that it would go viral. And he wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what people thought.

It was a dumb, impulsive moment that he wished wasn't publicized like it was. Now, he had a target on his back. Even more than that, Teddy Morgan realized while walking home from work that there was already an arrow shooting for that target.

There was a black car just down the street that lit up as he started down the sidewalk from his work. He took a peek at the car but didn't think much of it as he hugged his jacket to his body to keep warm in the winter cold. The car slowly crept up the road but never passed him as he met the bus at the bus stop and hopped on. It wasn't until he was in his seat that it drove by, which was also when he spotted the recognizable matte S on the hood that was exposed thanks to the lighting in the bus.

Teddy perked up as he watched the car pass. He had never seen a Sensation around this neighborhood. And, it couldn't be Zoe. She left on a plane early this morning and that was over twelve hours ago. Besides, she didn't own a black Sensation, nor did she drive. The suspicion that it might be someone working for Zoe's parents and was stalking him shot a shiver up Teddy's spine. Was he being watched? Followed? Did they want something or were they just here to frighten him? Maybe he was just seeing things.

On the bus ride home, Teddy decided to check Zoe's social media to see if she had actually left town. Just as he predicted, though, there were multiple photos online of her at the airport as she landed in Los Angelos. She was wearing her glasses and a big smile on her face as she waved at paparazzi. He checked her Instagram story and saw she was eating sushi with a bunch of prissy blondes. Teddy left all of that alone, though. Zoe wasn't in Ohio anymore. It wasn't her stalking him in that black Sensation.

When Teddy got off the bus a few blocks from home, he checked his surroundings. There was no black Sensation mysteriously parked anywhere. The entire time Teddy was walking, he tried to convince himself that he was just seeing things. From the stories Zoe told him, he was scared of whoever was in that black Sensation. He wasn't like Howl. He didn't feel like getting hit for the fun of it. Besides, the people that were theoretically in that black Sensation seemed to have a reputation that surpassed a quick hit.

Unfortunately, just like Teddy feared, that black Sensation was sitting at Zoe's gate. It beat him home. It was too dark outside to see if anybody was inside the car but, still, Teddy kept his head down as he climbed the hill. He thought against the idea of going home. It was cold out but, he had to keep walking. He couldn't reveal where he lived. But, when all the doors of the Sensation popped open, devising a plan became much harder. His heart rate instantly spiked in a panic.

Teddy glanced up at the Sensation parked in front of Zoe's house, spotting four men dressed in all black slipping out of the car so casually. His steps faltered but he forced himself to keep walking, his head down and hands shoved deep in his pockets. Teddy could see the dark figures move in his peripheral as he climbed the hill. They weren't going inside, which made Teddy wonder if they didn't have the key or if they just weren't trying.

When he stole another glance, all four of them were staring at Teddy, one of them already taking a step into the street with their eyes glued to him. Teddy panicked, forgetting all rational thought and reacting on instinct. He just had to run.
