YO POV

I drove us home from the party since I hadn’t drunk anything. Ricky was quiet in the back and Pha was passed out in the passenger's side. I smiled at him when I saw that drool was comeing out the side of his cute mouth.

Ew gross. I just called his mouth cute. What the hell was wrong with me.

“We’re here.” I said to Ricky who nodded. “Can you help me bring him upstairs?” I asked Ricky. He nodded.

We had somehow managed to drag Pha up the stairs and into my dorm to lay him on the bed. I laid him down on the bed, making sure there was a pillow he could lay his head on. I brushed his hair out of his eyes and smiled.

“You really like him, don’t you?” Ricky asked. I sighed and turned around to look at him. I smiled and nodded.

“I do.” I admitted. Part of me knew that was what I should say, but the other part of me somehow was telling the truth.

“What do you like about him?”

“He’s super nice and a gentleman. He’ll open the door for anyone. He has a lot of respect for woman, especially his friends and those he is close to. Which also makes him a wonderful friend. He always tries to help them out, no matter what the task is. He handsome, but isn’t cocky about it, most of the time, and doesn’t take it for granted. He’s tall and strong. Whenever I am around him I feel like the safest person in the world.” AND HOLY SHIT. I like Pha.

“I’m glad he makes you happy.” Ricky said. I nodded and looked down at the sleeping Pha. “See you.” Ricky said before taking his leave.

I walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge next to Pha. I looked down at him and caressed his cheek with the back of my hand. He was really beautiful when he slept. Not handsome. Beautiful. And everything I had told Ricky had been the complete truth, not just an act I had put on. I liked Pha. Holy shit.

How could this happen? How could I let this happen? Why did it happen? I had all these thoughts running around in my head. All these questions that I needed answered. But the one I wanted to know most was: Could Pha ever possibly feel the same way?

What if he didn’t? What if he was really just doing this to repay me?

Pha shuffling beside me pulled me out of my thoughts. I smiled and retracted my hand. I changed my clothes and climbed in bed next to him.

I was falling in love with him, and I wasn’t gonna stop. I couldn’t. And maybe I didn’t want to.

The next morning I was awakened by the smell of what can only be explained as heaven. FOOD. I looked over and Pha wasn’t beside me.

“Good morning.” Pha greeted me with a smile and a cup of orange juice as he walked out of the kitchen.

“Good morning.” I said as he came to sit next to me. He had made breakfast. He just got better and better.

“I hope you are hungry, cause I am.” Pha said pulling me up out of bed. Pha was standing there smiling wide. He had, telling by his somewhat wet hair, just recently taken a shower. He was wearing a pair of black sweatpants with a naked torso. “Hurry and go take a shower so we can eat.” He said. I smiled and nodded, rushing off to the bathroom.

What the hell was going on?

After my shower, I made my way into the kitchen to see Ricky and Pha sitting there?

“Ricky?” I asked. This is why he was acting like this? Not because he wanted to?

“Hey. I thought I would come and see how Pha was feeling this morning. He seemed kind of out of it.” Ricky said. I nodded and walked over to Pha who was standing at the stove.

“It smells really good.” I said quietly. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him tightly. He smelled amazing. Pha turned to me and smiled. He caressed my cheek.

“I’m gonna go to the bathroom.” Ricky said standing up and exiting the room.

Pha, continuing to caress my cheek, lowered his head and placed a light kiss on my cheek. I felt my cheeks heat up. I turned my head slowly to look at his face. I wasn’t able to say anything before he connected our lips. I was shocked but when I felt him wrap his arms around my waist I did the same with mine around his neck.

He pulled me close to him, deepening the kiss. Everything around us turned gray and it was like he only existed. He invaded my mouth with his tongue, causing me to moan quietly. The bathroom door closed, causing Pha to pull away. He leaned down to my ear and whispered ever so softly.

“That wasn’t an act.” He said before pulling away as Ricky reentered the room. They both sat down at the table, leaving me there, standing like an idiot.

“Let’s eat.” Ricky said. I nodded and chuckled softly as I took my place next to Pha. I was silent the whole breakfast. All that could be heard was Ricky interrogating Pha about our relationship.

The morning seemed to fly by quickly. Ricky ate and left. Pha and I worked on some homework, watched some TV. But the one thing we didn’t do was talk about that kiss. The kiss he said wasn’t an act.

“I’m gonna go to my room and grab some papers I need for my homework. I’ll be back in like ten minutes.” He said. I nodded as he left.

How could he be like that? So laid back. Like he didn’t kiss me in the kitchen, shirtless, after making me breakfast. I groaned and stood up putting on my shoes. I exited my room and made my way to Pha’s. I didn’t knock before entering. There was no point. It wasn’t like he was doing anything.

“What is wrong with you?” I asked closing the door and locking it. Pha looked up at me confused.

    “What?” He asked.

“How can you just kiss me like it’s nothing, and tell me that it wasn’t an act. What does that even mean? Did you do it because you wanted? Because you like me? Why do you always leave this trail of unanswered questions in your wake?” My word vomit was stopped when Pha connected out lips.
