PHA POV

It was now Friday night. I had been staying at Yo’s for three days. After Ricky came over so late we took better precautions. Which meant sleeping in the same bed with a half-naked Yo. It was not good for my heart. We had thought up a story about our relationship just in case Ricky asked. I knew he would. He refused to believe that Yo was taken.

I tried not to get to close to Yo when we slept at night because what had happened when I had almost kissed him, again. What was wrong with me? I’m falling in love with a boy that I can’t have.

“Are you ready?” I asked looking up from tying my tie. Yo stood there and smiled. My breath was knocked out of my body and flown to outer space.

Yo was wearing a casual band t-shirt and a pair of somewhat tight black pants. It was casual, but on him, it looked like the outfit would be worth millions.

“Yeah. Do I look okay?” He asked. Did he even have to?

“You look great.” I said. He smiled shyly and pointed to my outfit.

“So do you.” He said. I smiled and looked down at my outfit. I was wearing a pair of jeans with a white button up and a loose black tie. It was nothing special.

“Let’s go.” I said. Yo nodded and took out his phone to message Ricky to meet us downstairs at my car.

When we exited Yo’s dorm he took my hand in his and intertwined our fingers. I looked down and him. He smiled shyly and shrugged.

“For Ricky.” He explained briefly. I nodded and pulled him with me as we made out way downstairs.

“You ready?” I asked we approached Ricky who was sitting on one of the benches outside. He stood up and smiled.

“Let’s go.” I said unlocking the doors. We all got in the car and without saying a word we were off.

After five minutes I took Yo’s hand in mine again and kissed it, looking him deep in the eyes. I had almost forgotten we weren’t alone, but then Ricky spoke up. It felt so real, but I had to remind myself that is was only a show.

“How long have you guy been dating?” Ricky asked, just like I knew he would.

“Six weeks.” Yo answered. I looked at Ricky through the mirror. He was nodding, probably thinking of more questions to ask. And he did.

“How did you two meet?” He asked. I smiled and looked at Yo as we stopped at the stop light.

“My best friend and his are dating. We meet at one of their birthday parties. I saw him and I just knew that he was the one I wanted to be with.” I said. Yo blushed and looked down at his lap, smiling wide.

“That’s cute.” Ricky said from the back. I could tell that even though his words sounded nice, he was hating what he saw.

Once we arrived at the party Yo and I let go of each other's hands as we entered the building. Tonight was going to be a long night. Not only did we have to keep up the act and mae our relationship believable, but we also had to make sure Lemon or anyone else found out about our relationship.

The three of us took our seats. Yo sitting next to me and Ricky across from us. Lemon squealed when she saw us. She rushed over and hugged me tightly. She was clrealy already drunk. She froze when she saw Yo.

“I didn’t know you were bringing Yo.” Lemon said smiling at him. I nodded.

“Why wouldn’t I?” I asked throwing my arm over his shoulder. It could look like we were a couple or just friends. Lemon smiled and nodded.

“Let me get you guys a drink.” She said running off to the bar. Yo and I took our seats again.

About twenty minutes later the building became packed. I had no idea Lemon knew these many people. She probably actually didn’t. They probably just came for the free alcohol. Barbarians.

Almost all of the seats were taken. At our little table area, there was Yo, Ricky, Ming, Lemon, Jennie, Kit, Beam, Forth, and me. There wasn’t really that much room either.

“You’re the smallest. Just sit on someone's lap.” Ming said. Yo sighed but obliged, taking his new seat on my lap. I had to hold my breath in and try not to think of the fact that he was sitting on my lap. There were also a few thoughts I had to push out of my mind.

“Who wants to dance?” Lemon asked standing up. Ming and Kit raised their hands. Forth looked to Beam who shrugged.

“Dance with me?” Forth asked. Beam smiled and nodded, taking Forth’s hand. They all went to the dance floor, leaving Yo, Ricky, and I alone.

I wrapped my arms around Yo’s waist and laid my head on his back. I hadn’t drunk much alcohol but my stomach was already kind of wheezy. Yo’s hands wrapped around mine.

Even if this was supposed to be just to put on a show for Ricky this was all I was ever gonna get. After a couple of months, all of this could come to an end. No matter how much I wished this was real. How I wished we were a real couple, we weren’t going to be able to. And that made my head and stomach hurt worse.

“I’ll be back.” I said lightly pushing Yo off of me and rushing to the bathroom. I rushed into a stall and leaned over the toilet throwing up. A few moments later I heard the bathroom door open and then a small, caring hand on my back. When I looked up Yo was standing there rubbing my back.

“Are you okay?” He asked. I shook my head as I sat on the floor and leaned against the stall. He grabbed a few paper towels and wet them. He sat on the floor next to me, facing the other way, so he could get closer.

He took the paper towels and whipped my face with them. The coldness felt great of my hot and sweaty face.

“Do you want me to get you water?” He asked. I shook my head.

“I’m okay.” I said. Yo nodded. He continued to wipe my face. I had my eyes closed and was leaning my head against the stall when I felt him stop. He grabbed my hand and held it in his.

“You don’t have to pretend when we are alone.” I said.

“I’m not.” Yo said. When I opened my eyes Yo was smiling wide at me. “Come on. Let’s get back to the party.” He said standing up and pulling me with him. I chuckled and stood up with him. He let go of my hand as he opened the door.

“You good man?” Forth asked as he patted my shoulder. I nodded and Yo and I went back to our seats. Ricky was still there, but now he was chatting with some guy.

Even though there was a seat open Yo took his spot on my lap again. He leaned back against me and we just spent the rest of the night telling stories and listening to others tell theirs. I could still feel Ricky’s eyes on us though.
