It was around midnight when Ellie began to flutter her eyes open. She groaned slightly whilst doing so, feeling the ache all over her body. She turned to her side and she felt her hand brushed at something, though as she sneaked a peek, she couldn't see anything on her bed. She reached forward aimlessly before finally grabbing the one thing she suspected was there, her brother's invisibility cloak. There slept Harry with his head on her bed, rested on his folded arms.

"Harry," she whispered. Her voice was cracked from the lack of use. Harry stirred a little in his sleep, but didn't fully wake up, so she called him once more and a little louder this time. Harry snapped his eyes open when he finally realised who was calling out his name.

"Ellie! You're awake! Ellie, I'm so worried about you!" Harry whispered frantically to her as he engulfed her in a bone crushing hug. He then let go off her only to take in her appearance, making sure nothing was wrong with her. When he was finally satisfied with what he saw, he hugged her once more and kissed the top of her head. Ellie was too confused at her brother's antics to even protested, but when he finally let go off her once more, she managed to voice her mind. "Harry, what happened?"

Harry took a seat next to his sister on the bed, caressing her head whilst sighing heavily. "You kind of went out after the thing with the snake that Malfoy had cast in the duelling club. You also had a small conversation with it, do you remember it?"

"The snake, yes, I remember it was about to have a go at you," said Ellie whilst straightening herself up on the bed.

"Well, you see, you're not the only one who was talking to the snake, I was too, like the time when we went to the zoo with the Dursleys. Ron and Hermione told me that it wasn't something very common, talking to snakes. It was a gift, being a parselmouth, meaning able to talk to snakes, a rather rare one. One infamous parselmouth was Salazar Slytherin."

Ellie threw herself to the bed whilst groaning angrily, "Don't tell me people are thinking we're his heir?"

"Sorry to disappoint you, little sis," Harry said to her with a playful smirk on his face. A smirk that Ellie wanted to wipe off of his face so bad with a good slap to his face. "Wonderful," Ellie exclaimed, her voice full of sarcasm, "A Slytherin and a parselmouth, what a great start at Hogwarts."

"That's the spirit," said Harry cheekily, earning himself a slap at the back of his head from his sister whom was mumbling several choice of words that would make their parents roll in their graves. Harry kissed her cheeks just to annoy her even more, which effectively did as he planned. Ellie mumbled a few profanities that caused her brother to shake his head at her before asking Harry the question she had in mind. "Harry, how long was I out? And why were you under the cloak?"

"A couple of days now, and Madam Pomfrey hasn't let anyone saw you since you were carried here," said Harry nonchalantly whilst earning a raised eyebrow from his sister. Harry ruffled her hair and carried on as if she was daft. "You don't expect me to not sneak in, do you?"

Ellie scoffed at him, which caused him to bit his tongue to hold back a laugh. Not a second later, the gears inside Ellie's head seemed to turn and Ellie looked at her brother curiously. "Harry, why does Madam Pomfrey not let anyone see me?"

"Something about you needing to rest," said Harry with a shrug. Hearing the chimed of the bell as the clock struck one, Harry put on a face that Ellie had seen far too many times then she preferred, but secretly loved. It was a look filled with worry and authority at the same time. A look one would expect to see from their parents. A look that Ellie would never get to see in her life, except on Harry Potter's face. "You should go back to sleep, Ellie," said Harry softly with a voice barely louder than a whisper.
