Gillian walked outside to her mom's car and hopped in the back seat. She smiled at Cynthia and Cynthia grinned, her one dimple on the left side of her cheek showing. Cynthia was wearing her favorite christmas sweater, a red sweater with a christmas tree and many presents under it standing next to a chimney with Santa Clause standing on the other side. She wore her green and red striped tights and black dress shoes. Her hair was half up, held up by a silky red ribbon that almost glowed against her pale skin and light blonde hair. Her glowing green eyes held everyone's attention. Gillian's mind snapped back to reality when she felt a jerking motion.

"Ah, damn!" her mother hissed. "Ice patches." she sighed. "You girls alright? No one too shaken up"?

"We're good!" the girls said in unison. Their mother absolutely hated cold weather. The drive continued and no other ice patches were experienced.

Ten minutes later, their car was pulling up to the front of Green Grove Elementary.

"Alright you two, have fun, and be carefull!" she warned. The girls unbuckled their seatbelts and gave their mother a kiss before exiting the car. They waved goodbye as they walked into the school, and separated as Cynthia went off to her kindergarten class and Gillian went off to her fourth grade classroom. As she entered the class, the room filled with cheers.

"Happy birthday!" everyone roared. December 19th was Gillian's birthday, but because no one was going to be in school, they always throw it on the last day.

"Aww!" Gillian squealed. She loved surprises. As the class settled down, the teacher brought out cupcakes and handed one to every child, along with a carton of milk, and they all settled down to watch a nice christmas movie.

That's when things went bad.
