At about eleven o'clock, a strange man passed through the doors of Green Grove elemantary. He stumbled passed the security guards and the main office. In an attempt to get his attention, the principal walked out to talk to him.

"Hello sir, what brings you here today? Are you here for a student?" he asked intently.

The man just stared, unable to focus clearly on the questions, or the man talking to him. He slowly turned and continued walking.

Knowing the man was oblivious to anything, Mr. Akin, the principal, attempted to stop the man again. He held the man on the shoulder, stopping him for walking any further.

"I'm sorry sir, but you are clearly intoxicated, and have no means being here--" he started.

"--So I'm going to have to ask you to lea--" Mr. Akin was cut off by a sudden punch to the jaw.

The security guards quickly ran over and tried to grab the man before he hurt anyone else. Then the drunken man opened fire.

Three bullets were fired into the air, and though none touched anybody, all hell broke lose. The teachers jumped up and started locking their doors, some grabbing their cell phones and calling the police. The children were screaming and crying, many trying to hide somewhere. All teachers then unlocked the back doors in their class and took their students out onto the field to hide in the safe house.

Ms. Carla opened her back door and yelled for the kids to run through the door and head to the safe house. As the students ran out onto the field, Gillian was pushed and tripped, often knocked down. Once she was finally at the door, Ms. Carla grabbed her arm and pulled her out, shutting the door and running with Gillian in tow. Just then, the man burst through the classroom door and through the back door. Nearly every student was in the safe house, and guess who the man targeted? Gillian.

Once he found his target, he knew he couldn't catch her unless she stopped running. Then, he saw a good sized rock sitting next to his foot. He bent down and picked it up, and began running to Gillian.

She looked back and realized the man was chasing her. She began crying even harder as she ran out of energy to run to the safe house. Teachers were too busy getting the other kids into the house to notice, and since Ms. Carla had run ahead to help other students, she wasn't protected anymore.

The man closed in on Gillian and flung the rock, hitting her in the back, and knocking her down.

'This is it huh? This is how I die?'  Gillian thought to herself. She was unable to get back up before he was standing right over her, his foot pressed on her chest so she couldn't move.

It was then when Ms. Carla looked over.

"Gill!" she screamed, running almost light speed over to her.

It was too late.

In one swift move the man had cocked the gun, and aimed it right at the middle of her head. He smiled an evil smile as he watched Gillian with wide eyes and tears streaming down her face as she pleaded for him not to shoot her.

He pulled the trigger.

Everything went black.

Laughing at his crime, the man removed his foot from Gillian's chest. He gave her one swift kick in the back, before walking away, grinning with pleasure from what he had just done. He grinned even harder hearing the screams coming from the teachers and students from what they had just witnessed. Then out of the blue, the man was knocked down.

A young boy named Sander had snuck up behind the man and attacked his leg, biting and scratching him. When the man was on the ground, Sander had grabbed the gun and proceeded to beat the man with it. Although he was only 9, he was strong. The man's face was blooded, and soon he started to grab the boy. The fight was cut short when 5 police officers surrounded the man, and two other picked Sander up off of the man. Paramedics soon appeared and ran to Gillian's bleeding body. They lifted her onto a gurney and began running to the ambulance.

"No! Wait!" Sander screamed.

"I want to come too! She's my best friend!"

Indeed she was. They had been best friends since kindergarten.

The cops agreed and they stuck him on another ambulance, and they raced off to the hospital, while the police took the man to prison to try him for first degree murder of Gillian Knight.
