Last time...

The look on her face made his heart race momentarily, surprising him. She looked so innocent, and for some reason, her perfume was suddenly invading his senses all at once. He kept his cool on the outside, reminding himself that she was merely an obstacle he had managed to avoid for the time being. "Sure," he mumbled, casting his eyes off to the side, "Friends, I guess."

It had been a few weeks since (Y/N) had extended an olive branch to Urie, but she felt like she couldn't really say that things had changed much. It seemed that, while he had acknowledged her, he spoke very little to her in the time since. She was somewhat baffled, if she was being honest with herself. She had managed to get close to the other quinxes, even Yonebayashi! Somehow, Urie evaded her advances to become closer friends, and by extension, a better team.

On this particular day, she noticed Urie and Shirazu acting a little... Shady, from her perspective. She found herself eavesdropping on them, from the kitchen. Apparently, they were going to use seek out a ghoul, called 'The Torso,' alone. Getting a bad feeling, she rushed off to tell Mutsuki of her findings.

He listened intently as (Y/N) recounted the conversation, his eyebrows furrowing with every word that left her lips. After she finished explaining, (Y/N) glanced at the male and asked, "So, what do you think we should do, Mutsuki? I don't know if Haise knows about this or not."

Mutsuki stiffened, feeling a little put on the spot, and replied, "There's no way that teach would allow them to do this. We have to let him know." (Y/N) nodded, frowning a little at the hubris displayed by her other teammates. They got up, immediately seeking out the man in question.

When Haise found out, he was furious, but (Y/N) saw it in a somewhat silly manner. She chuckled a little as he stomped about saying that Urie and Shirazu wouldn't get the drop on them. It was quite the spectacle, to her, especially when he mentioned, 'Getting Sasarious,' about things. She chuckled a little in agreement, deciding that if Sasaki and Mutsuki were going to counter Urie and Shirazu's super secret solo mission, she wanted in, too.

After doing a little research, the trio found out that The Torso often times killed women, who had gotten some kind of surgery. After a few failed attempts, Haise decided he would hang back and do more research to see where they had gone wrong, while (Y/N) and Mutsuki continued to stake out locations.

After a few hours, (Y/N) approached Mutsuki at the hospital that he had been watching over. "Anything yet, Tooru," she asked, making the male blush at her usage of his first name. Noticing this, she grinned a little and added, "What? We're on a squad together, so we might as well be on a first name basis!"

Clearing the embarrassment from his mind, Mustuki shook his head and smiled a little, "I guess so, (Y....Y/N). As for your question, no, I haven't gotten any hits as of yet." He grimaced a little, feeling the way her first name felt rolling off his tongue. It was mildly uncomfortable, but he'd eventually get used to it. It wasn't like she was interested in him like that, anyways. He noticed the looks she had been giving their mentor during training sessions, as well as the looks a certain individual was giving her while she was oblivious.

He decided to keep both the information, as well as his opinions, to himself for now. It wasn't really any of his business, despite the gnawing sensation in the pit of his stomach whenever the (H/C) girl was staring at Haise with such adoration. He didn't really get it, and pushed the feelings down as far as he could.
