Chapter 3

Instantly the text put a smile on my face. I didn't know where i wanted this conversation to go, so i just replied with : Hey Smith;) x. The adverts had ended so i pit my phone down on the table in front of me. I must have been watching on plus one because a banner saying *please do not vote, this is not live so your vote won't be counted but you may still be charged* flashed across the screen as Emma started to speak to the contestants. Then i got another text from Dan.

D: bonjour Robinson;) x

I: nice French there Bastille boy;) x

D: thanks;) so how are you x

The conversation carried til the early hours of morning. It felt as though nothing had changed and we were best friends again.

I woke up at 10 to 11, with seven missed calls from Pippa and a text from Dan. I rung Pippa back but she didn't reply , so i answered Dan.

D: wake up sleepy head;) xxxx

I: I'm awake, what do you want? xxxx

D: that coffee?;) xxxx

I: I'm not even ready to do anything today xxxx

D: well a lazy day at yours sounds good too;) xxxx

I: that is not what i meant Daniel xxxx

D: we could watch twin peaks;) xxxx

He knew how much i loved twin peaks, it was a weakness.

I: oh i will, but you don't know where i live;) xxxx

D: look outside;) xxxx

I: you are not outside my house Dan, please tell me you're not outside my house! xxxx

D: okay I'm not, but i thought I'd give it a go, to get you up;) xxxx

I: well it didn't work xxxx

D: but it scared you though;) anyway will you be ready for half past? xxxx

I: if i have the effort;) xxxx

D: alright, which Starbucks suits you? xxxx

I: the one uptown is closer but then there's the other one which is slightly nicer inside xxxx

D: well I'm easy each way,so you decide, but i don't really know where 'the other one' is;) xxxx

I: okay;) so the uptown one then? xxxx

D: alright, see you there;) xxxx

I quickly got ready-casual but nice, and made my way there.
