Chapter 8

When i got in i got all ready for bed and i sat down on the sofa. Then i noticed my phone ringing; it was Dan so i picked up.

Me:Hey Dan, what do you want?

Dan:Urm, hi, i just have a question to ask, you don't have to say yes and i won't mind if you do but i just thought....

Me:Just spit it out Dan

Dan:Okay, Me, Will Kyle and Janna had planned to go to the Rag 'N' Bone Man gig on Saturday but now Will is busy, can't believe that he would choose to miss it if I'm honest, and Woody is on holiday with Chrissy so i thought i'd invite you, you know if you wanted to come and as i said you don't have to

Me:I'd love to Dan, i had actually wanted to get tickets myself but it had already sold out

Dan:Oh that's brilliant, i would've been a third wheel if you'd have said no and that would've been really embarrassing

Me:Oh silly me, acually thinking you wanted me there, now I've seen the real you Dan Smith, you're just using me, (i said sarcastically)

Dan:Yeah you've caught me, guess it's time to come clean, I'm not who you think i am

Me:well who are you then Dan, if that even is your real name

Dan: I am the Batman

Me: Well I prefer Clark Kent

Dan: Are you saying Superman is better than Batman, because i would be really offended by that

Me: Well superman can fly for starters

Dan: At least Batman isn't overpowered by a piece of rock

Me: I'd love to have this debate with you Dan but if I'm honest I'm really tired and just want to get some sleep.

Dan: Yeah that's fine, are you still going to come to the gig?

Me: Well I'd love to go see him but the downside is you're going to be there too so i don't know maybe

Dan: Please come, it wouldn't be the same without you there, don't leave me on my own, you know you want to go

Me: Did you really think I was going to miss it, gosh Smith i would have thought you would know when i was joking by now

Dan: Thank you so much, I'll let you get off now seen as you're 'tired'. See you Saturday

Me: Yeah see you then , bye.

I hung up and then i literally just fell straight asleep as soon as I had got into bed.
