We arrived at my flat. Oli followed me in behind cautiously. 'Oli it's fine you can go home now.' I said while talking off my jacket and sitting down. 'Im not going anywhere until I know you're okay.' I looked at him and he smiled as he sat down beside me. 'Why are you doing this?' 'Because we're friends.' 'Great.' I don't know if I should be happy about being 'friends' with Oli. I liked him kinda... But I guess I've been put into the friend zone. 'But he never got me Oliver he simply pushed me.' 'He attacked you, Alex.' 'I know what he did.' I snapped. I took off my shoes and looked at him. He was looking back at me with sympathy in his eyes. I could feel my eyes welling up I had been attacked, I was nearly raped. I didn't know how to feel, I felt numb. Oli came over and wrapped an arm around me providing me a shoulder to cry on.
I woke up the next day curled into Oliver with my head on his chest in my front room on my sofa. I had cried myself to sleep. I was warm here and I felt safe with Oli as much as I hated to admit it. I could feel his chest moving up and down and his heart beat slow. I want to repress the memory of last night. I wasn't hurt it's okay. I'm okay. That's what matters there's no point keeping the memory in my mind. I closed my eyes and smiled Oliver smelled amazing. The friend zone can't be too bad right? If it involves this? I slipped my phone from beside Oli and opened the camera taking a photo of us cuddled. I put my phone down and closed my eyes as I heard Oliver stir in his sleep. I pretended to sleep as I felt his arms moving checking the time then a yawn before he realised I was on him.
I couldn't help but smile as he began to stroke my hair. 'Morning Alex' he whispered in a tired husky voice. I smiled and sat up looking at him, 'Hey' I whispered back at him, his hair was messy and his eyes tired. Cute.
