It was that day. The day i move thousands miles away from the place i call home. The day I'm forced to go to a place completely foreign to me. The day i loose my best friend.

I waited in my empty room, as the trucks loaded up. Nothing could make this day better.

" Kendall, its time to go!" My dad shouted from downstairs.

Depressed, head hung low as if it weighed a thousand pounds i made my way down the metal stairs. Memories flashed through the back of my head of Mason and I. Man was i gonna miss him. Spoke to soon, as minutes after he greeted me at the end of the hallway by the door.

" hey Kendall how the move treatin ya" you could tell he was trying to keep himself together for my sake.

" it sucks" i kept my head down resisting eye contact.

We walked down together out the double doors, and was met by my parents and the movers. It was time, time to do the one thing i didn't wanna do, say goodbye.

"Come here" Mason said looking into my eyes sympathetically.

I could hug him all day long and not get tired of it. He ran his fingers through my messy, blonde hair as i clung to him.

" this can't be the last time we talk" he said still hugging me.

" I'm not gonna let you forget about me, I'll iMessage you, FaceTime you, even write you letters, and don't think for a second I'm not gonna visit you."

Mason sure did know how to make me feel better. Finally we let go, and i got into the back of my car. I waved as they started the engine, and began to drive away. We were about 20 minutes away when my phone rang. I checked my phone, 1 missed message.

It was from Mase i opened it and it read

" i miss you".
