,,Sir?"

,,Sir?"

I yawned looking up to see a nurse who looked really annoyed with me.

I have a feeling the hospital staff really hates me.

,,Sir, you can visit Miss Jones now." She said.

,,Yeah, okay thanks." I got up from the chair and yawned again. When the hell did I fall asleep?

I walked into the hospital room and saw Maya on the bed. She smiled at me.

,,Hey" she said. Her voice sounded a bit tired and raspy. I still think she sounds beautiful though.

Wait, what?

,,Hi" I smiled at her ignoring my previous thoughts.

I walked up to her and crouched down next to her bed.

,,Are you feeling any better?" I asked.

,,Yeah, kind of" she sighed. She smiled again, but I could tell it was forced.

,,I'm so sorry Maya. I shouldn't have involved you in this mess. I don't even know why you're still talking to me? Why aren't you mad at me?" I asked. It was all my fault.

,,Don't be sorry. I wanted to get involved. And I can never be mad at you. Sure I'm a bit shaken up, but I'm not mad. It wasn't your fault. You didn't know they would go this far." She said putting her hand on mine and rubbed it softly.

,,Yeah, I guess you're right. But what's important right now is that you're safe, and that I won't let anything happen to you ever again." I said interviewing our fingers together.

,,I don't doubt it" she chuckled squeezing my hand a bit and I grinned at her.

Then I heard someone clearing their throat behind me.

,,Excuse me, but your test results just came in, Miss Jones." She said looking at us. It was the same nurse who woke me up and tried stopping me from getting into Maya's room earlier. She must be really sick of me by now.

,,Luckily, you don't have any major injuries, just some cuts and bruises. That being said you are free to leave any time you want." She finished, walking out of the room.

,,So are you ready to go?" I asked

,,Yeah, but can you just leave the room for a couple of mins I can change?" She asked.
