When I woke up, I was soon to realize two things: the first was that I was then lying in my bed, and the second was that dawn had begun to break over Alexandria. When the fact that I must've slept through the entire previous day and night, I sprung up from the bed, making myself slightly dizzy.

I grasped the bedpost, steadying myself and pausing a moment. Once the feeling had dissipated, I paced out of my bedroom and into the hallway of our home. I turned to enter the stairwell, and as I did so, I caught sight of a familiar face seated atop the first step.

"Hey, you're alive," Paul said, turning and giving me a smile.

"Yeah... now, why are you?" I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.

Suddenly, Michonne and Rick emerged from his bedroom, fully dressed and holding weapons out at Paul. Rick's eyes flashed to meet mine, and I gave him a knowing smirk, following it up with a sly wink.

He was attempting to look tough, but a smile flickered across his face for a moment before he rid himself of it. "You, come with me," Rick said, pulling Paul up by the collar of his shirt. He took him down the staircase, and I would've followed if not for the voice I heard from behind me.

"Sidney!"

Startled, I spun around just in time to be met with a pair of arms being thrown around my small frame. I didn't know who I was hugging until I saw the long, brown hair and purple long-sleeve shirt.

When Lea released me, she had the biggest grin on her face, and I couldn't help but mimic her expression. "Glad to see you're awake... finally," she said, and I let out a quiet laugh.

"Well, almost drowning does take a bit of a toll on your body," I said sarcastically, and Lea chuckled.

"Come on," she said, clapping a gentle hand on my shoulder. "Carl and Alex are in here reading comics."

She led me to a room two doors down from my own, and knocked gently a few times before a voice from inside said, "come in!"

Lea grinned, and opened the door with ease, pushing me inside the room first. The boys set their eyes on me, and both of them smiled broadly. "Well, look who's finally awake," Carl said, jumping up from his position on the bed.

I grinned as he walked over, positioning my face between his hands and planting a short kiss upon my lips.

"Aww," said Alex and Lea in unison, and I couldn't help but to laugh.

"I'm glad you're okay," Carl said, giving me a nod and a smile.

I returned his gesture, grinning. "Yeah, me too."

"I'm glad you're okay, too. Just thought I'd throw that out there," Alex said, smiling shyly off beside me. I giggled, and walked over to embrace him. He returned the gesture, and I felt him smiling into it. Bless him, Alex was a sensitive soul, even if he didn't act like it. He grew up fast, like the rest of us, but he was still young, and would always have one of the biggest hearts out of anyone I knew.

"Now, I don't know about you guys," Lea said, gesturing with her hands expressively, "but I wanna see what's up with this Jesus fellow. I'm going downstairs."
