Lauren had only gotten worse. Her flashbacks had become so bad that the children were scared to be alone with her. The group couldn't understand why her flashbacks kept coming. Zayn and Harry couldn't think of a solution either.
The first time Lauren had a flashback that caused alarm was a year after James had died. It was his birthday and she couldn't handle the stress of it all. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she passed out. She woke up a few hours later only to not remember what happened.
"Camila we need to talk." Madison says. Camila stops what she is doing to give Madison her full attention.
"What's up?" Camila ask the brown headed girl.
"It's about Lauren." At the mention of the older girl Camila becomes worried. "No she's fine, well physical."
Camila nods her head in understanding. "I've tried to get her to talk to me but she just doesn't want to."
"I might know why she's having the flashbacks." Madison begins to play with her nails.
"Really? Is there anything we could do to stop them?" Camila ask hopefully.
"Yeah but it's impossible." Madison says.
"What do we have to do?" Camila ask. Madison stops playing with her nails and looks to Camila.
"We have to find her parents." Madison let's out. Camila is shocked and confused.
"What does her parents have to do with her flashbacks." Camila ask.
"They're the reason she's having them." Camila frowns again. "Okay here me out. Every time she has a flashback she always starts to whimper a little or speak a different language." Madison says.
"Madison you're not making any sense." Camila says.
"When I first met Lauren we were young she was about 16 and I was like 14 I think. But she told me what she went through, the pain she endured." Madison says. "One of the things that her parents did a lot was spay water on her with a hose at high pressures. That's why when I poured the water on her by surprise it might have triggered a flash back." Madison finishes. Camila leans her head back in the chair and thinks.
"If what you're saying is true how do we find her parents? What if they're dead?" Camila ask.
"Only one way to find out." Madison says. Camila shakes her head.
"How do we get Lauren to agree with this? She hates them." Madison waves her head in a dismissive manner.
"Tell her that James is alive." Madison shrugs.
"Are you crazy? That's the dumbest thing you've ever said." Camila says. She knows that doing that would cause so much hate towards her from the older girl.
"How else will she agree?" Madison says.
"I do not agree with this." Camila says. Madison nods her head.
"Okay I'll take the blame." Madison stands up and walks away.
Camila sighs and thinks about all the shit that could happen from that one statement. Hell is about to rain down on earth and Camila is right under the first cloud.
"GROUP MEETING!" Camila heard Madison scream.
Camila didn't think that Madison meant right now. She only prayed that the older girl understand when it comes down to it. When Camila walks into the house the first thing she noticed was a empty seat next to Lauren. She happily took the seat and grab ahold oh Lauren's hand.
"Hey babe." Lauren whispers. Camila giggles.
"Hey beautiful." Camila whispers back.
"Okay love birds enough, we have something important to talk about." Madison informs everyone. Camila can feel the sweat forming on her face.
"This better not be about the rabbit." Zendaya says. Madison rolls her eyes.
"Now that I think about it we have two things to discuss." Madison informs the group.
"Madison could you please get to the point, I'm two seconds away from falling asleep." Dinah says tiredly.
"Fine grumpy." Madison takes a deep breath. She looks to Lauren who was really paying attention.
"Lauren." Madison calls to the girl. Lauren tears her eyes away from Camila to look to Madison.
"Yes dufus?" Lauren ask. She smiled at the nickname but upon seeing Madison not smiling back her smile fades.
"I have something to tell you." Madison says. She's second guessing herself.
"Are you okay?" Lauren ask. She stands up and examines the girl. Upon seeing nothing wrong she waits.
"I... I don't know how to say this." Madison whispers. Lauren could barely hear the girl.
"Madison what's wrong?" Lauren ask.
"We need to find your parents." Madison says quietly. Lauren backs away from the girl not wanting to do something stupid.
"What?" Lauren ask. Just the thought of seeing her parents made her sick.
"We need to find your parents." Madison says again.
"What the helol Madison." Lauren balls her fist up. Madison notices and quickly try to explain.
"James is alive." She rushes out. Before she could see Lauren's reaction she feels a heavy punch being thrown toward her face. She grabs the now sore spot.
"Fuck you Madison." Lauren says harshly. "I fucking buried him, and you're going to tell me he's alive." Lauren grabs Madison by the hair.
"Lauren hear me out." Madison pleads.
"Lauren calm down." Harry says.
"Shut up." Lauren turns to the boy. He backs up and raises his hands in defense.
"Why would you say that?" Lauren ask. Madison is trying to pry Lauren's hands away from her. "Answer me."
"Lauren please believe me." Madison says. "I've never lied to you."
Lauren takes in what the girl said and thinks. Madison had never told a lie this big, Lauren had no reason to not believe her.
"Lauren let her go." Camila places her hand onto Lauren's shoulder. "James wouldn't want this."
"Lauren Stop." James calls to the girl.
"But it's fun." Lauren pouts.
"You know mother and father would kill us if they knew we were here." James says. He tries his best to put everything back the way it was.
"James why can't we just fight back?" Lauren ask.
"Violence is never the key unless it's necessary." James says. Truth be told he was scared to fight back.
"They beat us daily isn't that necessary?" Lauren questions.
"No they're family. You don't fight family." James grabs Lauren's hand. "Mother and father will teach you that one day."
Lauren comes back to reality and sees everyone looking at her. She looks at Camila and nods her head.
"Pack we have a long journey ahead of us." Lauren says. She thinks back to a couple of days ago when she begged for James to come back and now hearing that he is alive makes her smile. She can have a second chance with her hero.
