"FARAH?"
ISRAFIL WATCHED confusedly as she almost ran to Younes, wrapping her arms clasped around his t-shirt covered torso. He hugged her back just as tight, their embrace assuring Israfil that they had some type of connection. He wasn't sure what kind though, she'd never mentioned a Younes before, so who was he to her?
They broke apart, her hands clutching his forearms. Israfil couldn't see her face, but by the slight sound of a small sniffle and the almost uncatchable scent of salt, he knew she was near tears. But why? Who was he to her? Both Alexander and James looked at the two of them questionably, then back at him.
"It's been so long, like what, fifteen years?"
Younes wore a bright, open-mouthed smile on his face accompanied by the slight glossiness of his eyes. Alexander felt surprised-- he hadn't seen Alpha Younes smile much in the many years of their friendship, so to see him so joyous was especially unusual.
"You two know each other?" Israfil asked.
Younes nodded slightly, thick lips parting to speak, but Farah beat him to it. "We're cousins."
Israfil's eyes nearly popped out of his head. Cousins? They didn't look very similar except for their nose and eye shape. Farah was considerably short while Younes was tall and stocky. Farah's skin was a few shades deeper and She hadn't mentioned any cousins before, he was certain because he was a good listener, he paid attention to details such as these. And as far as he knew, she hadn't said anything about a cousin before.
"Cousins?" Israfil asked again. He could see Alexander and James' reactions through his peripheral and they seemed just as surprised as he was, if not more.
Farah nodded again, "He's my mom's sister's son," she paused for a moment, angling her head to look at Younes properly, "you're... with them?" With them. She hoped he would catch on to what she was insinuating. With them. With the supernatural shit, among the wolves. As far as she knew, her family was all human. But then again she didn't know anything about this six months ago.
Younes raised an eyebrow, "With them? As in am I a lycan?"
Farah nodded.
"Yeah. You know how my mom doesn't know shit about my dad's side. It's all fucked up and mysterious. Guess she picked the wrong guy who happened to have somewhat great chances in the species department." Younes opened his mouth to talk but was cut off by a mildly annoyed voice.
