The music you'd been dancing to for over an hour was restarted, your fingers messing with the track on your phone, waiting for it to start playing through the speakers before you took your place in front of the many mirrors lining the walls of the studio. A short huff left your parted lips just before you began the routine, perfecting any mistakes you'd made the previous run-through. You leapt into the air and spun, however, you landed wrong. You knew as soon as your foot hit the floor that something wasn't right, but it all happened within mere milliseconds and you had no time to correct it as a muscle twisted and sent a shot of pain up your leg, causing it to give out.
"Ah!" You yelped in agony as you collapsed on the hardwood floor of the dance studio.
Your instructor and close friend, Minho, rushed to you with a panicked expression on his face.
"My leg is hurt." You grunted out, grabbing onto it and hissing softly through your teeth.
"Let's get you to a hospital." He hooked his arm under you, assisting you to your feet.

Roughly an hour later you found yourself in an examination room with your leg propped on a table and a sinking feeling in your chest.
"You sustained a pretty serious injury." The doctor told you.
"But it'll get better, right?" Your heart raced as you asked the question, beating faster when you didn't receive an immediate response.
"Yes, but I'm afraid you won't be able to dance. Not for a while, anyway."
"What? I'm a dancer, that's what I do."
"I know, but you need to let your leg heal." The doctor advised. "You'll need physical therapy."
"What?" You breathed.
"There's a fantastic physical therapist I can refer you to. He's very good." The doctor spoke, writing stuff down on his clipboard.

After a discussion with the doctor, you and Minho left the hospital. They'd wrapped your leg and given you a set of crutches to use until your leg had healed enough to have weight put on it. It was disheartening and would take some getting used to.
"This isn't gonna be good for my career." You sighed, staring out the window at the buildings that passed by in a blur.
"It'll be okay. You just need to take time and heal. Don't worry about it." Minho stated calmly. "Stress isn't good for your body."
"I know." You huffed out. "I just can't help but worry, especially with something like this." You gestured to your leg.
"These things happen." He mentioned, pulling up to your apartment. "You need help?"
"No, I got it. Thanks." Grabbing your crutches, you got out of the car.
"Don't forget you have an appointment with the physical therapist tomorrow at 11:00 AM."
"I know." You let out a heavy breath, pushing the car door closed and heading inside your apartment building.

The following morning, you were dropped off at the physical therapy clinic just before 11:00 AM. Glancing down at the paper in your hand, you reluctantly headed inside.
"Can I help you, Miss?" The woman at the reception desk asked as you approached.
"Yes. My name is Y/n L/n. I'm here to see Doctor Jung for an appointment."
"Yes, 11:00. You're right on time. He'll be with you shortly."
You nodded and hobbled over to take a seat in the waiting area. Sweeping the room, you didn't see anyone else which hopefully meant you'd be getting to see the doctor soon. Spotting a stack of magazines, you snagged one off the top and flipped through it mindlessly just to have something to occupy your time. You mindlessly skimmed articles about current fashion, skincare, and reviews on movies, not reading any of it, just looking at the pictures.
