We were tied down. I looked at Mr. Rodriguez. He looked calm. But I know he is thinking a way to get us out of here. "You thought that you could knock us out. Get away from me to him?" Judah asked me.

"Go to hell" I said. "a good girl like you should not say bad words" Judah said. "Now I have to teach you a lesson" He added.

If Mr. Rodriguez made me afraid, he terrified me. It was something sinister about his look. He was not friendly. Judah came close to me. He signaled his men. Swiftly one of them held dagger over Mr. Rodriguez's neck and other over my father.

"Now if you defy me. They will end your father's and your lover's life in one swift." Judah said.

"I told you princess I want you for myself and only thing standing on my way is him." He said pointing to Mr. Rodriguez. "I told you before I don't love him" I replied. Suddenly I am very much brave. "Prove it and I will let them go" Judah said.

"How can I prove it?" I asked. "Kiss me like you kiss him" He said. Mr. Rodriguez's eyes snapped towards us. He looked at me intently. His eyes were no longer calm. They were blazing with fire. I remember what he told me earlier in that chamber. If you were mine no other male other than me could have came close to you ever .

I have to do this no place to get jealous Mr. Rodriguez. Judah placed his mouth on mine. I was trying hard not to throw him off me. It is for them. I felt disgusted. But I cannot do anything.

For now I have to play along till Mr. Rodriguez can come up with a plan. He pulled back and signaled his man. I heard a hiss and I looked at Mr. Rodriguez. There was a cut across his arm. "It was a warning princess I know you like him." He said. My eyes widen in horror.

"Please don't harm them. I will do anything you like" I said. "No Katherine don't" my father said. Judah laughed. "I want to have something that he doesn't have yet. You know what I am talking about" Judah said.

"Katherine you will not give up your innocence to this thief for me" Mr. Rodriguez said. Another hiss followed.

"I am talking to her. So his life is important or that you decide I will be in that chamber. And don't try anything because if you do my men will kill them both. "With that he left.

I looked at my father who was crying. Mr. Rodriguez was looking angry. "You are not going to do that Miss Davis" He ordered.

"He is right your life is more important than anything" I said. "No your are wrong Katherine you are more important than anything and I cannot let anything happen to you" He said. I slowly put my lips over his.

He kissed me back. It felt like goodbye again. I pulled back and said "I have to do this Christen I am sorry but I am your protector and I will protect you till the end" I said walking away from him.

"So you came after all. I promise you that you will carve for more after this" He said. "I doubt that bandit." I said. "I am not a bandit Princess I am just a troubled man looking for only thing he carved for years. And that is you" He said.

"I don't feel that way" I said. "you will once you have tasted the forbidden fruit" He said pulling me close to him. "Now I can have one thing he wants and cannot have" Judah said. He pulled my robe away.

"You are indeed the exotic beauty" He trilled his fingers along my body. I tried hard not to flinch. "Perfect and from today it is all mine" He said kissing my shoulder.

He reached for my skirt. Fear gripped me. But there is no turning back now. Someone pulled him away from me. I saw Mr. Rodriguez. I hugged him tightly. "I thought he will get to me." I said. "Until I am alive no one can harm you My little girl" he said kissing my temple.

"But how?" I asked. "Ibrahim" he said. I saw Judah struggling to keep Ibrahim away from him. "Was he alone?" I asked. "Till now yes" He said. "My father?" I asked.

"Safe" He said. "They are not going to let us get out this easily Miss Davis so ready to fight?" He asked. "Always Mr. Rodriguez" I said.

He handed me my sword as more bandits came in. "Get ready miss Davis" He said. I was more than ready. "Duck" I said as I stabbed one who was trying to stab Mr. Rodriguez into back. He nodded and blocks another attack. Judah was still busy with Ibrahim. I am slightly worried for him too.

I saw another one trying to attack Mr. Rodriguez he was surrounded. I need back up like right now. I saw bow and arrow. Good this has to do. I thank the dead men for his weapon and then started to shoot. Aim and fire.

I kept repeating. I took few men down before I met his eyes. Mr. Rodriguez nodded at me. I picked my sword again to block the attack over me. "You are girl" The bandit said. "Yes and you are dead "I said as I stabbed him in the chest. So much for your You are a girl speech

Funny how his last words will always be You are a girl. "Do you see a opening?" I shouted. "not yet Miss Davis" He said. "I will tell you as soon as I can find one" He said. "Ok" I said as I take down another one. Suddenly there was a blast and a wall collapsed. "Capture them soldiers" Someone ordered.

I looked for Mr. Rodriguez. Judah was no were to be found and Ibrahim was hurt. "Ibrahim" I called him. "How bad it is?" I asked. "I will survive my lady where is Saheb?" he asked. "I am trying to find him too" I said. "You rest here ok and I will look for him" I said He nodded.

I searched for him in almost chaotic room. "Mr. Rodriguez" I called. I searched the entire room but he was also no where to be found.

"Mr. Rodriguez" I called as I enter another chamber. He was standing quietly. As if he was in some deep thought. "Mr. Rodriguez" I called. He turned around and looked at me.

I came towards him. "Give me your wrist" He said. I extended my arm to him. He placed a golden bracelet over it. "I found this among treasures Miss Davis I think it will suit you better than any other lady" He said.

"But..." I protested. "It is part of your pay Miss Davis" he said. "Ok then" I said. "we found the treasure Miss Davis you know what that means?" He said. "End of everything" I said. He shied loudly. He pulled me close and caressed my cheek. "Do you want it to end?" He asked.

I never gave a answer because minutes later my father came. He pulled apart. I felt cold suddenly even in the desert heat. "Are you alright Katherine?" My father asked. "yes father" I said. "what about you Mr. Rodriguez?" He asked. "I am fine. I will live" He said.

Later that day we packed our bags to leave for the city. James hugged me as soon as he saw me. "Thank god you are alright Kat. I was so worried about you" He said. "I am good Thank you" I said.

"What happened to you? You should be celebrating with us you saved our boss Katherine" He said. "I am just tired" I said. He didn't said anything.

I was not tired in reality. Mr. Rodriguez's words were revolving around my mind. Do you want it to end? Do I? Will I miss him? Whom I am fooling I will miss him. More than I can think off. I never thought about it but it is so true. As we neared the town my heart sank. I cannot tell him can I?

I almost got him killed a countless time. So maybe it was better if we stay away from each other. Maybe his life will become much easier without me? Maybe it is. I need to stay away.

He said himself he cannot love me. But I want love. Everyone does. And this relationship between us cannot work out. His heart is too cold too emotionless for my liking.

We arrived at the town and checked into hotel. This time I had given separate room. No longer fake fiancée . I was about to tell him that we cannot do this further but once I arrived into his room I was shocked. I never expected that from Mr. Rodriguez.

I knocked at his room. He looked up. He eyes were colder than before. He was wrapped into arms of another woman much close to his age.

And she is indeed beautiful. More than I can ever be. "You wanted something Katherine?" He asked. "No sir I am sorry that I disturbed you in this hour of night." I said.

I left the room and came into mine. What I was thinking? That he will be loyal to me. He doesn't even love me. We were not in any kind of relationship here. I was just his employee temporary employee.

I heard my door opened. I forgot to lock it again? Not good. There it was standing Mr. Rodriguez.
