Baring his soul

Avni,I want you back in my life , Neil said in one breath while nervousness was clearly written on his face.

Neil,what is your problem?.Am I some kind of toy so that you can use and then throw me whenever you feel to do so?

She spoke with visible hatred in her voice .

After pausing for a while and looking at him ,she continued..

This whole day you have been behind me saying this and how many times did I tell you that this is not going to happen.

While saying all this ,her face was blank without any emotions
which made him feel even more guilty.

Are u deaf or what? Pls try to understand that I'm not the
same Avni who loved you some 3 years back.That is over long time back.Now,I have my life to live and you have yours .If you are asking for friendship, I can give u that ,but this...it is too much Neil .I am over all of that and I dont even want to think about it again.So please Neil, dont make it more difficult for me.Also ,I'm getting married after 6 months .

Why are you even attempting to lie when both of us know very well that you won't be able to do it, he finally vented out what was in his mind for a considerably long time .

Neil, I dont have to give any explanation to you regarding my personal matter.Tum kaun ho mera ki tum itne haq se mere saath baat kar rahi hoon?.You are just a friend and nothing more than that.

She stressed on the word "friend" which made him hung his head down in shame because that made him realise the pain he had inflicted deep in her mind.

Thinking of something,maybe their past ,she closed her eyes for a moment and then continued speaking.

Yes,I agree that ,at one point of time ,I considered you my world and bahut jald maine realise kiya ki main galat kar rahe hoon and a big thanks to you, Neil for that .

Her face had a grateful expression ,but still he could sense that something was missing ,maybe that playfulness in her attitude .

He felt responsible for everything .

He had ruined her and through that him.

He left her for his happiness ,breaking her into pieces .

Woh Sab chodo everything is past now ,she said, bringing him back to the present moment .

As she tried to move past him,he pulled her back strongly by holding onto her wrist ,while she made all attempts to wriggle out of his hold ,making him make his grip on her arms much stronger .

Avni's back was now in close contact with Neil's chest and she could already feel him breathing ,being so close to him like their previous days.

I know I still affect you ,Avi, Neil spoke sensually near her ears while his hands were playing with her long tresses .He carefully arranged all her hair that was spread across her back into one side and traces her bare back ,credits to the saree she was wearing while Avni trembles and stays silent ,without knowing what to do.

But before Neil could do anything more ,Avni removes his hands from her body and frees herself away from him,looking at him with hatred and disgust .

She immediately retorted with fury in her eyes :

So is this what you wanted to prove Neil Khanna?That your touches still affect me.Chee,I feel ashamed of having loved you. U have not even changed a bit .You are still that selfish person who can go to any extreme for fulfilling his desires .Isn't that the reason why you left me because what if I don't match your status?Offcourse I couldn't go anywhere outside India because I had my family commitments unlike you ,who don't care about others .You are just selfish ,Neil .

Hearing Avni's accusation,Neil's face became with red in anger.Before she could move out ,he held her hand tightly and started walking forward which made Avni totally clueless.

Neil,kya kar rahe ho ,chodo mujhe ,Yeh kya badtameezi hai ,she spoke loudly trying to remove her hands from his ,which made him grip onto her hands more firmly.

Haa ,galti kiya hain maine and I accept that .Par....I never cheated you Avni .Mera sirf ek hi reason that...and I still regret doing that ,even today .

He was literally crying ,after he completed his words .

Please Neil ,I don't want to see all this .Stop all this drama and concentrate on your life .Why are u behind me when I am not even interested in talking to you ?.So please, for god's sake leave me alone.

She said the last sentence by folding her hands infront of him ,literally begging and praying to leave her alone for the rest of her life .

Without waiting to hear anymore of Neil's explanations ,Avni left while Neil was shattered.

But he couldn't blame her at all.

He was the one who left her when she was broken and needed a support system in her life who would stand with her against all odds , protecting her from all the evil eyes .

But he not only did leave her ,but also became cold hearted when success made him mad .He was too much into all the lavish parties ,elaborate and extravagant lifestyle ,which he could not even dream of ,during one point of time .

But she was the one who was his knight in shining armour.
She brought back colours into his colourless life .

But ,alas when it was time for him to show his gratitude ,he left her .
In her words ,he deceived her or rather forgot her ,while being busy in making a few more pennies.

He forgot to live .

He forgot his happiness .

He forgot all the beautiful memories of togetherness .

And now the time had come for him to regret for all his past actions ,when he finally realised how their relationship had broken all because of him and his lady love is going to be someone else's in a few months time .

The mere thought of the same made him grit his teeth in anger .

No matter whatever might have happened in their relationship ,he couldn't let her go just like that.

He has to fight for him, for them .

He was in no mood to give up,he would try every possible means to reach to her , and this time promising to never bring tears in her doe eyes ever again .

He had already suffered enough by making her cry.

With a strong determination and strong will to win her heart,he left the place .
