I don't really like changing points of view but I felt that the beginning bit should be in this part so...yeah.

Chapter Five

*~*~ Carla's Point of View *~*~

"Oh my God, Carla! You have to see this!" Bethany screamed in my ear. Her squeaky little voice was so annoying, sometimes I felt like slapping her.

"What?!" I said harshly. She looked taken back and hurt, but she didn't say anything to me, because she knew if she did she was lose all her popularity. I loved that power. She pointed a finger towards the end of the science block. My mouth dropped when I saw it. What the hell was Nate Fitz doing with Ella Montez?! How on earth did they even know each other? And WHY was he smiling?!

"OH-EM-GEE." I muttered.

"I know, what the hell?" Courtney said. Suddenly, that stupid girl, Ella, looked over to us. I quickly changed my expression so that I was smirking at her. Nate wasn't looking so with full awareness of Ella's gaze on me, I mimicked being sick, I pretended to eat something, and again pretended to be sick. I saw her hurt and upset expression and smirked. She quickly averted her gaze elsewhere.

"Good one, Carl," One of the jock boys said.

"What have I said before?! Do NOT call me Carl!" I responded through gritted teeth.

"Whoa, okay! Message received Carla!" he said, his voice quivering. I smiled at him cheerily. He hesitated before smiling back. Idiot, do these guys have no self-respect? In my head, I rolled my eyes. It was fun watching them squirm.

*~*~Ella's Point Of View*~*~

As Nate and I were walking out of the science blocking, my eyes fell upon Carla. My heart dropped into my stomach knowing that she would do something in front of Nate. I saw her smirk. She stuck her finger in her mouth, pretending to be sick. She then pretended to eat something and be sick again. The moisture in my eyes was building up. A lump had formed in my throat. Her posse started to laugh around her at her stunt. She flicked her beach coloured hair while smirking at me. I quickly looked away before she noticed the tears in my eyes.

"Was that Carla Parkinson?" Nate asked, my heart skipped a beat. Not knowing what else to do, I nodded because I couldn't trust my voice.

"That was really mean," He muttered.

"It's no big deal," I said weakly.

"Ella, that's classed as bullying!"

"I said, it's not a big deal, it doesn't even matter,"

"Ella..."

"Nate! It's fine! Look, she does it all the time; I just ignore her, its better that way,"

"She does it all the time?" He asked surprised.

"It doesn't matter; can you please unlock the car?" I said, trying to change the subject. He unlocked the car, and we both went to go open the passenger side. His hand slightly brushed mine and I felt my face get hot.

"I can do it," I muttered.

"Yeah, but you're the lady, you're the weaker one, it would be bad manners for me to let you open the door yourself," He said with a smirk on his face.

"You're so sexist, I can manage to open a door, asshole" I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"As you wish, m'lady," he said with a British accent. I smiled at him sweetly. I opened the door and sat into the car, he had also sat in the car at this point. With all my force I slammed the door shut.

"Whoa!" he said. I smirked at him.

"Not so weak now, am I?" I grinned at him.

"Touché," He started to drive then.

"Thanks for the cookies at lunch," I said, remembering that I had to thank him.

"Oh, you're welcome, did you like them?" he asked, grinning.

"Yep, they were really nice; you have to tell me where you bought them from,"

"I made them,"

"Don't lie,"

"I'm not!" he protested.

"Seriously?" I asked surprised. He nodded.

"Where'd you learn to bake like that?" I asked.

"My mother taught me," he said, smiling slightly.

"She must be an awesome cook then," I said, smiling at him.

"She was," he said sadly.

"Was?"

"She died three years ago," sadness washed through his voice. I mentally slapped myself. Way to go Ella.

"I'm sorry, I..."

"Its fine, you didn't know," he said smiling. I could see the sadness in his eyes. I wanted to know more but I refrained myself from asking, knowing that it'll only make him more upset.

"She was an amazing woman," he muttered after a few minutes of silence. I smiled at him.

"She died three years ago," he said.

"How?" I asked.

"She had a heart condition," he said wearing a pained expression.

"I'm sorry," I said quietly. My phone was buzzing in my pocket; I pulled it out to see that I was receiving a call from Zack, my work agent. I picked it up sneaking a small glance at Nate who was smiling at me.

"Hello Smella," he greeted. I rolled my eyes at his greeting.

"Hi, Zackie,"

"You okay?" he asked.

"Yup,"

"Okay, listen, The Wolowitzs' have gone out of town for about a week, so you have a weeks' worth of holidays,"

"Oh,"

"Hmm... but in a week there are promotions so who knows eh?"

"Haha, yeah,"

"Maybe, you'll never see them again!"

"I should be so lucky," The Wolowitz were the family that I worked for, I hated working for them, they were a nightmare. The mother was always away on business so they needed a house cleaner which was me. They were a nightmare to work for.

"Okay, I have some work I need to do, so I'll catch you later okay?"

"Bye Zack,"

"Bye Smella," he chuckled and disconnected the call.

"All okay?" Nate asked me. I nodded.

"Ella?"

"Yeah?" I responded slowly.

"Can I get your number?" he asked slowly. I smirked.

"What would a guy like you want with the number of a girl like me?" I asked teasingly.

"Urm...in case of an emergency?"

"Like what?" I asked while smirking. I saw his cheeks tint red. I bit my lip, stopping myself from laughing.

"I don't know," he muttered weakly.

"No," I said, while smirking.

"No?"

"That's what I said,"

"Oh," he said. His face dropping. I bit my lip harder; it was really hard not to laugh. I was only joking; I would give him my number but he didn't ask again.

By that time we had reached my house.

"Thanks," I said when I got out of the car.

"You're welcome," he responded. I smiled and walk into my garden. I looked behind me to see that Nate was still there. I blushed slightly, and continued walking until I reached the front door. Once I was in the porch I saw Nate start the car and drive off.

Meh. Not too happy with this one. But oh well! It's just a filler chapter, I feel that the beginning of this story is going to be quite draggy, so bear with me. The story does better! Just a little draggy at the beginning.
