HYUNJIN FLASHBACK POV

"HYUNJIN!"

Her voice echoed in my mind, over and over again.

"HYUNJIN!"

Her screams never seemed to fade.

"HYUNJIN!"

I was trapped by her voice.

But then there was silence.

The thumping of my heart rose, louder and louder.

My breaths were shallow, gasping for air.

Her body.

It fell lifelessly.

The ring she wore on her left hand made a sharp noise when it hit the floor.

Her body convulsed.

Dark red thick liquid inked out of her mouth.

She gagged, trying to escape the overflowing fluid.

I stood there, my own voice caught in my throat.

What have I done?

I only remember the gun in my trembling hands.

I only remember it going off.

Once.

Twice.

Maybe three times.

I caught a look of her eyes, they were frightened.

Frightened of me.

What have I done?

She screamed for me to stop.

I didn't.

Why didn't I though?

I loved her.

But maybe it wasn't enough.

She kept me in control.

I needed someone to keep me in control.

So maybe it was the control she had on me that made me shoot.

No.

I didn't shoot.

Someone else did.

They wanted her dead, not me

I couldn't have shot her.

I loved her.

But maybe it wasn't enough.

She kept me in control.

I needed someone to keep me in control.

So maybe it was the control she had on me that made me shoot.

I shot her then.

There's nobody else who would've.

In. Out. In. Out.

My breathing slows down.

It slows down too much.

Now there are two bodies on the floor.
