Chapter 2

Luke's P.O.V:

~flashback~

"Tell me it was just a dream. Cause I'm really not fine at all..." We finished singing. Me,Calum,Ashton,and Michael had just finished recording one of our songs.

" Hey Luke wanna play nerf guns?!" Calum asked excitedly.

" Yeah give me a sec. Mary just texted me."

" Not Mary again," complained Calum," she should be mine. I called dibs yet you asked her out." He gave me the Calum glare he gives me all the time.

Mary was short for her age, so she was about up to my shoulders. She's 17 like (a year younger then me), long ratifying brown hair, and the most amazing brown eyes you have ever seen. She plays basketball with my sister and that is how we meet a year ago. Today was our one year anniversary.

All of a sudden my phone started ringing.

"Who's calling you lad?" Asked Ashton.

" I don't know. It's a private."

Me: hello?

Caller: Mr. Hemmings?

Me: Yes this is he...

Caller: hi yes. Your sister April has been in a deadly car crash. She's being driven to the hospital right now. Your parents were also in the crash but didn't make it. I'm sorry sir.

At this moment I dropped the phone not knowing what to do. My head was was spinning with thoughts. What was the last thing I said to my parents and April? When was the last time I'd seen them? My music had taken over my life, I only got to see them 2 months ago for a week.

"Dude are you okay?" Calum asked concern.

"Can I use our car? I have to go somewhere." I asked Michael.

" Yeah sure." he says throwing me the keys.

~end of flashback~

I was at the cafeteria in the hospital with all the guys.

" Why didn't you just tell us?" Asked Ashton.

" I don't know. Just at the moment the guilt was killing me. I mean I put my life into my music and never into my family. I only saw my parents two months ago for only a week and now they are dead."

" It's okay. It wasn't your fault out career was just starting out. Of coarse it was gunna be busy." Ashton said.

" I don't know I just feel so guilty. also there is something else I have to tell you guys, Ashton in particular..."

" What? Is April okay? The doctors said she was fi-" Ashton talked too quickly so I cut him off.

" She doesn't remember any of us. So your guys 6 month relationship with her Ashton, never existed in her world." I've never seen Ashton's face go so pale before.
