Max lay there, in the comfort of that strange bed. She stared at Caryn as she softly snored in her sleep. After the hectic night the two had, Max was enjoying seeing her best friend so calm, so safe, so at peace. The memories of the last few hours ran through Max's head.

It's the first time something like this has happened to the two girls. They had never come into contact with a mentally unstable person, especially one that had made thier entire being shake by just his presence. Max wondered why she was as scared as she was back there in the woods. She expected herself to be scared in such a situation, yes but, as the fear she felt that night was like no other scenario she could think of. There was just something about that man that seemed unnatural, wrong if you will, but all in all Max was just happy that both herself and her lifelong companion was safe.

Just as the thoughts ran through Max's mind a knock sounded from the door. She looked over at the wooden entry way and stated at the door unsure of what to do. The knock came again, this time louder. The second knock woke Caryn up. Max looked over at Caryn as she sat up, the two shared a confused look before looking at the door when it suddenly squeaked.

The girl's heads turned towards the door as it slowly opened. Embry poked his head inside with a goofy smile on his face. "Goodmorning, Emily made breakfast. I volunteered to come see if you guys were awake." Embry spoke. Max and Caryn smiled at him, his voice soothing thier mood. Caryn nodded at Embry and he quickly left the room.

The two girls got up and walked towards the bathroom attached to the guest room they were in. Both of them freshened up and showered. Max looked at the two recently fresh holes in her neck. They were parallel to each other, red and slightly swollen. Caryn came up from behind her and lifted some of her chocolate brown hair placing it over her shoulder. "And she's got scars that tell a thousand tales." Caryn said with a funny yet sinister look on her face. The two girls broke out in a chuckle of laughter.

Paul POV

~ White snow covered the open ground. The Quilieute pack, all in thier human forms stood along with the Cullens on one side of the battlefield. Opposite them, a few miles away in black and red coats stood the Voltury. There was a silence in the air. Max slowly fell. Paul grabbing onto her before she hit the ground. He sunk to his knees, his arms covered in her blood as he stared at her with tears welling up in his eyes. "Don't leave me. You can't leave me!" Paul choked. His heart breaking with every last breathe Max took. ~

I jolted awake. I held onto my sweat drenched forehead. I remembered what I saw back at Emily's house when I locked eyes with that girl. It was the same thing I saw in my dream only this time it was more intense. I felt every emotion, even the pain. I didn't know why I was seeing this and I didn't care either.

It's been a irritating night. I probably ran about 500 kilometres before I was calm enough to phase back. Even when I did, I was still very much enraged when I got home. Still can't believe I fvcking imprinted. I thought I was the lucky one out of the pack. But no, even I'm cursed. I should have known this would happen sooner or later.

I got up from my bed that I've only been on for less than three hours. Seeing as I only got home at about five this morning. Its now more or less  eight am and I'm usually at Emily's by nine so I get up to shower and change my clothes. The warm water soothes my aching and tired muscles. I close my eyes as the steam engulfs me. Big mistake. The minute I locked eyelids her face was all I saw. long brown hair, big eyes, soft lips.

*Fvck!*

My eyes shot open and my fist launched forward shattering the glass shower door. I instantly relaxed a bit on the sound of the broken glass hitting the floor. I felt helpless. Why couldn't I get her out of my head?
