KATE'S P.O.V

Hi I'm Kate, stands for Katelin.  I'm 16z, Germany, but born in America.  I've been living in the States for my whole life though.  Surprisingly, I haven't visited Germany, ever.  So let's just think that I'm pure American.  Kind of.

What can I say about my life?  I'm the only child.  My parents were divorced, but they have a pretty good condition now.  I live with Mom in New York, but always visit Dad too in Orlando.  I have a plain life, you know.  Doing school everyday from 8 to 4, plus some sports.  Boring life.  But hey, I haven't told you this, that I'm actually going to attend a camp in Orlando!  This camp is for youth, we gather from all around the States.  It's like government's annual program.  Last year, I wasn't allowed to attend yet because I was still 15.  Now is my time!

"Pack everything up, sweety!  The cab will be here in 10!"  Mom yelled from the kitchen.

"On it, Mom!"

"Shoes ready?"

"Yeah!"

"Band aid?"

"Got it!"

"Sweater?"

"Wearing it!"

"Phone charger?  I don't want to not be able to call you because of the battery prob..."

"Mom, stop.  Chill, alright?  I bring it, definitely."

"Good.  Just checking, baby!"

"Oh yes you are."  I rolled my eyes.  Thank God she can't see me.  Oops.

"Alright, done!  Let's go!"

"Yup!"

I excitedly ran downstairs with a bag full of stuff for a month.  Yes, the camp will be held for a month.  I've called Dad that I'm gonna leave at around 1 pm, so he can pick me up at the airport later.  Mom didn't drive me to the airport because she needs to go to work.  What?  I'm already get used to it, being alone, only with my headphones and some favorite songs.  You can't always get what you want.  So let's just enjoy today's flight, shall we?

I soon did check-in once the cab arrived at the airport.  I got the window seat.  Perfect.  It's still 12.35 pm, so a Starbucks would be awesome.  I bought a cup of Starbucks then had a seat in the waiting room.  One thing about me, I love seeing people's busy with their phones, talking to each other.  I enjoy this condition pretty much.

"Oops, sorry!"  A guy just kicked my shoes when he tried to walk over me to take another seat in my row.

"Well that isn't good, dude."  I looked up.  I met this guy with...okay, pretty brown eyes.  He wore a red long sleeves shirt with a white tee inside, and black jeans.

"I've said sorry."  He murmured.

"You say it again?"  I questioned him, raising up my voice.

"I've, said, sorry."  He noted the sarcasm.

"It's supposed to be who note that sarcastic tone."  I fought back.

"Can't you just leave me alone?  I caused no harm on you."  He walked away.

"Don't you dare thinking that we're finish here."  I stopped him.

"And then what?  I should pay you?"

"Oh rich boy, you better watch out your words."

"Oh yes I ask you then, now what?"

"Go away."  I shrugged it off.  This grumpy boy has no good for me.

"That's what I'm waiting for."  He spoke with a low tone to me, just so rude and all, then left.  I secretly looked over him, and found out some other guys with him too.

"Have a nice flight, Miss."  The aviation person greeted me while he checked on my ticket while boarding.

"Yeah? Thanks."  I squint my eyes, not interesting.

Thanks to that rude guy, I lost the mood of talking already.  I only sit at my seat, staring at the distance outside.  It's gonna be a long flight.

"Oh gosh, why..."  A voice came up from my right.

"You again?  Jesus."  I breathed out.  "Leave me alone."

"That's my seat, girl."

"Should you?"  I gave him a space.  There you go.  It's gonna be the loooongest flight I've ever had.

"I wish I shouldn't.  Worst day ever."  He threw his head back and shut his eyes.

"Can you stop talking like a freaking celebrity?"  I confronted him.

"Unless I am a celebrity, what do you want?"

"Toby, stop it."  A guy beside him warned.

"Yeah, you might have to listen to him.  Thank you very much."  I rolled my eyes.

"I'm Connor.  Hi."  That one guy who sit beside this rude guy offered me a hand to shake.

"Hey Connor, I'm Kate."

"Nice meeting you, Kate."  He smiled.  Nice guy.  "Toby, say something to her.  Be polite."

"Gosh.  You ruin my day.  I'm Toby."  He offered a hand too for me.

"Thank you.  I'm not asking."  I smirked then looked away.

"See, Con?  That's a wrong move!"  Toby whispered loudly.

"Take it easy, young man."  Another guy spoke from the seats behind us.

"You're lucky you weren't me, Thomas."  He answered.

"Don't be too hard on her, Tobs.  You're doing alright."  Another different voice spoke, again, and Toby got a hand on his shoulder.  I can see it.

"Then now what?  You own this plane?  Your whole family are here?"  I shook my head in a shock motion.  "Fingers crossed."  I sighed.

"I like this girl."  One of them behind me chuckled.  "Hey Kate, I'm Thomas."

"I'm Riley!"

"I'm Katelin, and so tired, thank you very much."  I ended the conversation right before we took off.  Orlando is pretty far, you know.
