Kevin, like Avi, also respected nature a lot, maybe even more than Avi. Many times would he scold people for ruining, or hurting as he liked to say, nature by chopping down trees and picking flowers. He was a bit of an outcast in his village, though, as he believed in magic while others thought it was fools play. Although, he didn't enjoy going for hikes just as much, nor did he go out into nature much at all, really, but still liked nature because he felt like it held some sort of magic to it. When he did go out, though, he was always alone, never liking to be around people much as he had to deal with them during the day a lot, his night-time hikes being a sort of escape from his reality in the year 1835. This was one of those nights, this one more peaceful than some of the others you have heard about.

Kevin was walking through the forest, crickets chirping and the moon glowing bright through the over cast clouds, the gentle breeze blowing the blades of grass and the flowers in a gentle wave like pattern, making gentle rustling noises. He walked through the trees, not really paying mind to the ground until a certain light caught his eye, making him want to look down to see what it was. The flowers on the ground, which had closed up for the night, seemed to have something glowing inside of them, each one a different colour. Intrigued, Kevin bent down to examine the flower closest to him, but the second his fingers came in contact with the flower, it opened up, releasing a bunch of little specks of light into the air, which flew around slowly until the light burnt out gently. Amazed, Kevin smiled and proceeded to continue opening the flowers, the flowers which were opened closing back up again to create more lights, making an endless supply of lights.

Kevin was now sat on the ground, laughing, as the last lights started to slowly burn out. Kevin's eyes began to close with exhaust when a bright light shone through the thick trees, the bright green light scaring away the few nocturnal birds which were in the area. When it died down, Kevin walked to the source, which was still slightly glowing, and went right up close to it. A giant, glowing flower. How much the village would laugh at Kevin if he were to tell them would be absurd. Kevin reached his hand out to the large plant and began caressing it's petals, which caused them to light up a little. It seemed as if the flower was whispering to him, it's gentle buzzing noises relaxing him even more, perhaps a little too much.

While Kevin was in his vulnerable, relaxed state, the flower began opening, putting him into an even more trance-like state, releasing one large light orb into the air. The orb began melting and shrinking until it was about the size of a grape, the small orb changing colours that glowed with many different colours. It floated towards him at a gentle and slow pace until it was right in front of him, Kevin's eyes focused only on the orb, nothing else. Before he could react, the orb flew directly onto his exposed skin, burning itself into it, Kevin now realising that it was not what he thought it was, gentle and magical, but dangerous and hot, very hot. Kevin knew that freaking out would only make it worse so he stayed still no matter how much it hurt, and just waited for it to be over, whenever that would be. Eventually, the orb had dissolved into his skin and he was no longer in pain, the feeling now gone, as well as all of the glowing flowers.

Kevin sat up in bed, the dream he had last night actually a memory of the night when he had thought he was going to have a normal life. So much for that plan.
