Meanwhile at the castle

Axel's P.O.V.

The plan was executed perfectly and worked to perfection. My wolves stormed at the so called impenetrable Royal castle. I had superior numbers and I made sure to catch them on a bad day where the majority of the guards were gone. They had grown cocky and I was able to take advantage of it. My father had planned it out to the last detail, leaving nothing to chance. Sadly, he was killed by the werewolf King of Europe during an attack. It hadn't been a fair fight. The King had had a gun with silver bullets while my father had nothing. I will do this for him now because there is only I to continue his legacy. I would be the Rogue King for him.

I arrived after the castle was clear. I was good in a fight, but there was no use in putting myself at risk so early in the plan. I knew my forces could take the castle without me. I was walking to the throne room where the Royals were being kept when the most delicious smell suddenly overwhelmed me.

My wolf, Blade, yelled in my head, "MATE! MATE!" He took control of my body easily as I was still in shock at discovering at my mate. Blade followed the smell into a room. I could tell it was hers because her smell was layered. She wasn't here. I was worried. I mean like there was just a huge fight in the castle. She could have gotten hurt or even worse killed before I could meet her. I was freaking out and Blade was not much help either. I am usually without emotion, but the simple thought that someone in my army could have hurt my soulmate was driving me nuts.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I was mind-linked by my beta, "Where are you, Alpha? You said you were going to be joining us in the throne room."

I answered quickly, "Yes, yes, change of plan. I need you to bring one of the Royal brothers to my location." I cut off the link. I knew my orders would be obeyed. While waiting, another thought made itself be known to be. Maybe she ran away. It wouldn't be unreasonable. I mean there was a war going on right outside her door. I shake my head, that isn't possible. She would sensed me as soon as she left the castle. No wolf would ever run away from their mate.

A couple minutes later, my Beta James walks in with the Royal daughter, Maya. She is struggling but it is not really affecting James. I frown at him. I asked for a Royal son not daughter.

At my non verbal question, James explains, "The other Royals are still too volatile even with the wolfsbane in them, Alpha. And Maya here is my mate. I cannot leave her alone with all the unmated wolves walking around. My wolf won't let me." I nod my understanding. I then turn to Maya for my questions.

I ask, "Whose room is this?" She just shakes her head, refusing to answer. I look at James and add, "If she resists, I will have to use other methods to get the answers I want." At this, James looks panicked at the thought of his mate being hurt.

He begs with her, "Maya, please mate, just answer his questions!" She just shakes her head. James faces me, "I am sorry, Alpha. She is not happy with the fact that I led the army to capture her home. She will not listen to me."

I frown. I could not torture the girl, but if she was one of the Royals, maybe she would speak if someone else's life was threatened. I mind-link a soldier to bring me a servant of the castle. Not a minute later, he does. The poor maid bursts into tears the moment she see Maya.

She talks to her, "Maya, are you alright? What are you doing in Addison's room? Have they hurt you?"

Maya glares at her and whispers, "Shut up, Olivia!" Olivia, the maid, realizes her mistakes and starts to whimper. It is too late anyway she gave me what I was looking for, a name.

I approach Maya and Olivia once more and say, "So this is Addison's room. Where is Addison and who is she to you?" Maya and Olivia look at me blankly and I start to get annoyed. I grab Olivia by her neck. "If you do not tell me, I will kill her."

Maya looks torn and finally replies, "This is Princess Addison's room, my sister. And if all is well, she should be very far from here." I growl at the thought of my mate leaving me and I throw Olivia's limp body across the room. Maya gasps and tries to rush to her side. James keeps her pinned to him instead.

I stalk over to my Beta and Maya, "What did you mean by that?" I have to admire Maya because instead of flinching away from my glare, she met it. She could not for long of course, but she tried.

She whispers very quietly, "Addison is the youngest child of our family, our white wolf. It is her duty to run in case of a fight to make sure that the Alpha Queen line continues." I roar at the thought of my mate mating with another for children. James makes the right decision and drags Olivia and Maya out of the room. I was furious and not safe to be around.

A couple minutes later, I have a semblance of control over my wolf. I leave the room and order my third in command, "Get some men together and chase after the escaped princess Addison. Do not return unless it is with her!" He nods and runs out to do as I say.

Do not worry my mate, my Addison. I am coming for you.
