Isabella's P.O.V.
Recap
Addison was staring at me wide eyes and asked, "Who are you?"
I smiled at her which was probably really creepy as I was covered in blood and answered, "I'm the first Alpha Queen, at your service."
End of Recap
We had found the girl of the Call. I assume she is one of my descendants by the white coat of her werewolf. Now, we just have to figure out what happened at the castle for her to be chased down by a bunch of rogues who act like an army. It was really strange. The last time I saw something like this was when Arthur had established his army to try to become the first Alpha King instead of me (See the Six Renegade Lunas book).
Addison was staring at me with her mouth open. I take advantage of her silence to ask, "Why did you summon the Call?"
She didn't appear to hear me, so I repeated myself. Then, Addison seems to recover enough to answer something automatic, "My family, the Royals, charged me, the youngest of the family, with the duty to run in case of an attack. The extra job is to continue your legacy and try by any means necessary to restore the throne. One of those means is the old rusty legend with the Call for you. I never thought it would actually work."
I laugh at her, I couldn't help it. She told me a bunch of information, but didn't answer my question. I try to ask her again, "But why did you do the Call?"
Addison seems to realize what she did, "Oh, yeah. In the recent years, we have been having trouble with a Rogue King as he is called. We killed him or so we thought because now someone else has taken up the mantle. The day of the attack on the castle was a celebration day of the end of the first war between werewolves with you. Most of the guards were off duty and were not there. We have a traitor who helped them in. The Alpha Queen and King aren't as strong as they were in your time, Alpha Queen. We were defeated."
I tell her, "Don't call me Alpha Queen, I prefer Izzy or Isabella if you want to be formal."
"Okay, call me Addy then. All my friends do," she replies.
"Ok, Addy, we need to move before their rogue army comes searching for their missing Third-in-Command. We do not want to be here when that happens. Let's head out!"
Addy was about to tell me something else, but then seemed hesitant. She mumbled, "I should probably tell you about my other problem."
I look at her sharply, "What other problem?" Addy looked surprised that I could hear her.
She answers reluctantly, "My mate is at the castle."
I turn on her quickly, "What do you mean?"
Carson asks too, "Why are you away from him?"
Addy mutters, "He is part of the rogue army. That is why they sent people after me. He probably is just high enough in the food chain to send a couple people after me and the fact I am a princess helps him convince his superiors too."
"Oh shit!" cursed Carson.
"That means the rogues won't stop coming. Your mate has to be pretty high up in the chain of command to send the Third-in-Command after you. He must be the Beta or even worse the Rogue King," I agreed "It complicates things."
Carson added, "We need to go now!"
I grab Addison and start running while holding her. Being immortal, Carson and I can run faster than any werewolf and we're stronger too.

Addison's P.O.V.
This Alpha Queen looks kind of crazy, being covered in blood and smiling. I got over it quickly though to go to amazement. I cannot believe that this woman is the first Alpha Queen. That meant the Call worked and the legend was real. I could smell that she was telling the truth.
She was talking to guy who was with her. It must be Alpha King Carson, Alpha of the Royal Blood Moon pack. He was a legend in his own right. But nothing could compare to Alpha Queen Isabella.
She turned to face me and said something, but I was not listening. The Alpha Queen seemed to find it funny that I was so shell shocked, instead of taking offense. All the old wolves I know always take offence at every little thing, but she was different.
Alpha Queen repeated her question, "Why did you summon the Call?"
Under stress, I have a tendency to blabber a little and that was what I did, "My family, the Royals, charged me, the youngest of the family, with the duty to run in case of an attack. The extra job is to continue your legacy and try by any means necessary to restore the throne. One of those means is the old rusty legend with the Call for you. I never thought it would actually work."
I was going to continue talking, but she cut me off by laughing. I blushed at my embarrassing blabber. When Alpha Queen recovered from her laughing fit, she asked me, "But why did you do the Call specifically?" I blushed an even deeper red because I had forgotten to answer her question, but told her a bunch of other useless things.
I explained, "Oh, yeah.
She told me, "Don't call me Alpha Queen, I prefer Izzy or Isabella if you want to be formal." I was really happy I was on a first name basis with the Alpha Queen, I mean Izzy.
I answer, "Okay, call me Addy then. All my friends do."
I inwardly cringe. It sounded like I called her my friend. I mean are we friends? We just met, she is kind of like my grandmother sort of. I look at her again with that thought in mind. She had not an ounce of fat on her, her body was lean with a fair amount of muscle on her. Izzy was beautiful, not in the traditional ways, but in a room, everyone will look at her first. That probably what made her such a good Alpha Queen.
She continued, "Ok, Addy, we need to move before their rogue army comes searching for their missing Third-in-Command. We do not want to be here when that happens. Let's head out!"
I needed to tell her about my mate. I opened my mouth to do so, but I didn't know who. I should probably tell you about my other problem. Izzy looked at me suddenly and I realized I said the part about "I should probably tell you about my other problem" out loud.
She asked, "What other problem?"
I answered reluctantly, "My mate is at the castle."
Izzy shot off a new question, "What do you mean?"
At the same time, Carson who I had forgotten about also questioned, "Why are you away from him?"
I muttered quietly, "He is part of the rogue army. That is why they sent people after me. He probably is just high enough in the food chain to send a couple people after me and the fact I am a princess helps him convince his superiors too."
Carson cursed, "Oh shit!" I was curious why it was such a big deal.
That means the rogues won't stop coming. Your mate has to be pretty high up in the chain of command to send the Third-in-Command after you. He must be the Beta or even worse the Rogue King," Isabella agreed, "It complicates things."
Carson said, "We need to go now!"
Isabella suddenly grabbed me and took off running with Carson next to her. She was running really fast.
I could also hear ever so faintly the howl of other wolves in the distance.
