chapter five: kissing

naomis pov:
when I woke up it was still dark, so my first reaction was to go back to sleep but when i looked at ponyboys bed he was gone

i jumped out of bed and quietly went downstairs to look for him but he wasn't there

when i walked back up stairs i saw the window open, to my surprise he didn't run away he was sitting on the roof with a blanket looking at the stars

i climbed through the window and sat next to him

"whatcha doing pony?"

"waiting for the sunrise."

"is it ok if i sit here?"
ponyboy chuckled

"i'll take that as a no..."
i started to climb back towards the window

"no naomi come back, i was only laughing because i never thought i'd be with a pretty girl on my roof."
he looked embarrassed, he probably didn't mean to say that out loud

i blushed, and walked back towards him to lay down next to him

he put is arm around me and we talked until the sunrise

i never realized how sweet ponyboy was, he really was something else.

i got up and went into the house and rung dally

"hey dal, you coming over today?"

"maybe, i got this nice little broad in bucks and i think we might hit it off today, if you know what i mean."
he chuckled

"ew stop telling me stuff like that, call me if your coming over."
i laughed and hung up the phone.

i decided to help sodapop make some breakfast so i walked into the kitchen

"hey soda, how did you sleep?"

"not that good i could hear you and pony talking all the way from the couch."

he chuckled

"sorry bout that, i hope we didn't wake you up this morning."

"you didn't."

i gave him a look

"ok fine you did but i don't mind, i like having a little sister around."

i smiled at him and we finished making breakfast

after we ate, twobit and i watched some cartoons and played cards until i got bored from winning so i went upstairs into my room

i saw ponyboy sitting on the couch

i think i was falling for him but didn't know if he felt the same way, i guess there is only one way to find out... but i hope i don't mess things up with him, he means a lot to me

"hey ponyboy, do you want to take a walk?"

he looked up from his book and smiled at me
"sure hun"

we walked down the stairs and to the lot, it was already kinda getting dark so there was a beautiful sunset

i sat down
he sat down next to me

"so what did you want to talk about?"

"i don't really want to talk."

"what-"

i cut him of with a warm and passionate kiss, to my surprise he kissed me back, his lips were soft and i felt like i melted into the kiss

one kiss turned into a makeout until it became dark and we decided to walk home

"what was that all about?" he said clearly smiling but also confused

"well i think i sorta kinda like you."
i blushed softly
"i sorta kinda like you too."
he smiled and we walked home hand in hand.
