chapter six: not telling

naomis pov:

"hey pony?"

"yeah dol?"

"we shouldn't tell anyone about us, dally won't be very happy with me and i don't really want him to get mad at me again"

ponyboys pov:

naomi just said she didn't want to tell anyone about us, and to be honest it hurt me a little

she means so much to me and i really really want to make her mine and have everyone know about how much i love her

but i couldn't say no to her, i think she's the first person i've ever falling in love with

"mmhm that will be just fine." i replied to her softly

johnnys pov:

i was watching some television when sodapop came and sat next to me

"naomis a real cute broad ain't she?"

i has always kinda liked naomi, she was real sweet and loving but i knew her and pony had a thing and i couldn't do that to him

"i guess"
i replied obviously lying

"i guess!!! she's like one of the hottest people to ever live in this house!" twobit yelled

"watch it twobit your way to old for her."
dally said loudly

dally winked at me

"he's not wrong"
soda said while walking into the room

dally ran over and tackled him until darry started yelling at them when they broke a glass

"where is naomi anyway?"
i asked

"went for a walk with pony"
darry said from the other room

"did they go to the lot?"
i asked darry

"not sure."
i heard the door slam shut
"good evening"

steve said while running and jumping into the house

"why do you look so happy?"

"i got myself a fine broad"
he replied

"yeah right"
soda said

"maybe his mom!"
twobit chuckled

everyone laughed
steve gave him a look
i decided to go home, i was tired of waiting for naomi and pony to get home, i'll see them tomorrow anyway

naomis pov: i walked into my house and sat next to darry

"how was your walk"

"it was calming"
i said while smiling at ponyboy

he smiled back

"i'm going to go to bed, i got work tomorrow, night pony, night naomi."

everyone said their goodnights and i started walking up the stairs when i saw soda crying on the top of the stairs

"soda?"
i said softly

"oh hey naomi"
he said while trying to dry his tears

"what's wrong sodapop?"
i said while sitting next to him

"the girl that's dating steve was my girlfriend, she was cheating on me with my best friend."
he said while trying to hold his tears back

"where's steve! let me talk some sense into his small brain!"

"no no nao he didn't know."

i felt my cheeks go red with embarrassment

"oh"
i said softly

soda let out a  little cry

" if she doesn't see how sweet and kind you are then she doesn't deserve to have you."

i gave him a hug

"goodnight naomi, thank you."

"night soda"

i walked into my room and was about to sit on the couch when ponyboy grabbed my hand and spun me around

he gave me a soft kiss

"god i've been waiting to do that for so long"
he said softly into my ear

his warm breath traveled down my spine and made me shake with pleasure

he pulled me on to the bed and pulled the blankets over us

he put his arm under my head and i cuddled into his chest and we both fell asleep

i don't think i've felt safer in my life
