'So did you get any new talent from the new years?' asks Leo who got curious as they are walking home and talking about how the day went. 'We did get some. They have talent for sure, the team can really be something special which is what we need.' answers Yuuki to his question. 'Want to stop at the Konbini around the corner? I am starving.' says Leo whilst laughing as the 3 of them hear his stomach growl. To which they respond laughing. 'Sure thing' both Yuuki and Minori respond.
As they arrive at the Konbini, Leo says: 'It will only take 5 min, I'll take some drinks with me for the both of you too.'
As Leo disappears in the Konbini. Yuuki asks Minori. 'What do you think of Leo? Really nice guy right?' To which Minori responds. 'Yes he is really nice and very thoughtful, even yesterday after we bumped in to each other.' she says to Yuuki while laughing and looking to the ground.
'I need some food for in the fridge so might stock up for that as well for the next 2 or 3 days, since I am here now anyway.' says Leo while looking at the beef and chicken. So he grabs one of both and grabs the drinks he promised, and then goes to pay his groceries.
As he walks out of the Konbini he sees 2 guys talking to Minori and Yuuki. But Leo feels something is off as he sees Yuuki's face pleading for help.
'Why not? huh? You don't wanna talk to us and hang out?'
'What a shame you girls are both gorgeous, you would be amazing girlfriends.' Whilst saying this one of the 2 grabs Minori's arm and wants to pull her along. When all of the sudden a huge hand grabs the wrist of the guy and pulls him back.'Sorry mate, but both of them aren't going anywhere with you.'
Both Yuuki and Minori look up in relief seeing Leo but suddenly they start to also feel really afraid of sudden change of pressure around Leo. And as they both looks at him. They see his face turned from a nice and thoughtful guy turn in to something that made even them afraid.
A look of pure evil and anger, with eyes made for one purpose. To hurt someone! A look that a Demon would have in the old ancient stories of the Japanese folklore. An ONI!
The same feeling was felt for the 2 guys in front of him. both of them seeing one huge guy with the look of a demon made them step back. 'S-So? What are you going to do about it on your own?' says one guy trying to be tough and shake off the fear. To which Leo laughs and says in a demonic deep voice. 'Well there is only one way to find that out. isn't there? And that is for you to step forward and I will gladly show you.' You can feel the vibration of Leo's voice as he said that.
The look on Leo's face intensifies and both Yuuki and Minori step back in awe of how different Leo became just to protect them.
'Are we gonna stand here all day? Cause I have other things to do then waste my time on the two of you!' says Leo.
To which the the two guys after a brief pause of silence, start to walk backwards and turn around and walk away.
'Jeez even in Japan guys like that exist!' says Leo who lets himself relax a little bit.
'What was that!?' yells Yuuki in disbelief. 'I never seen you like that before!' Leo knew exactly what she meant and sighs.
'Well let's just keep it this. Things happened to me in Australia and even when I came back here. So these things changed me.
For the good and some for the worst.' Leo answers to Yuuki while opening his bottle of water.
'I also told Dijei this yesterday. I am not the same person you knew! The one you know from a couple years ago or the one you saw on LINE? Those were cover ups. I changed a lot and didn't show it on the chat or the calls we all had.' says Leo to give some more info to Yuuki who looking confused even more after his first answer.
Leo quickly finishes his bottle of water and throws it in the trashcan from quite the distance.
As he walks back to the bench he says: 'While I was in Australia they gave me a nickname: "Demon". Everyone started calling me that when they saw me get serious and realizing that I wasn't really a nice guy.' Leo laughs. 'Or do you still think I am the same old Leo you know?' Yuuki who is left speechless and in total shock of how Leo is reacting to her questions.
'How about I go for the 3rd option, Leo?' says Minori to jump in. 'And that is?' asks Leo. 'The 3rd option is to accept you for who you are now and thank you for protecting us. You shouldn't think so bad about being protective of your friends.' Leo who is surprised because of Minori her reaction to this all.
He bows as a thank you for being the first one that finally understands where this different side of him comes from. 'You are actually the first ever who got the point of it all. Thank you Minori.'
'After a brief silence Leo stands up and grabs his groceries and says. 'Time for me to head home and make some food. If you want to walk along feel free. I am close to home anyway.'
The 3 of them didn't really talk about anything after they left to walk the last couple of streets to Leo's apartment. So when they finally arrived Leo says: 'Sorry for the outburst back there, but I hope you can understand that I am older and not the same as the Leo from Middle School.' Leo waves both of them goodbye and walks up the stairs to his apartment. While opening the door he sees female sized shoes, which could only be Maaya, cause she is the only one with a key to his apartment. 'I'm home, when did you get here Maaya?' yells Leo as he closes the door.
'Well I thought after I saw the video of you going all out, that you would be hungry so I brought food.' is heard from Maaya who now also sees Leo's groceries and says. 'I see you had the same idea?' To which she started to giggle. 'Yeah I am starving! So lets eat some food before I am going to pass out from the hunger.' says Leo as he grabs the food from his bags.
