Higure No Yuki (The Snow at Nightfall.)

1:Leo's Return

Leo wakes up grumpy by the sound of his alarm, which was set at 6;30 am. Leo moves out of bed and slaps the alarm off.

He quickly stands up to get ready.

Leo starts his days with a quick breakfast and goes to the shower and gets ready for school.

Leo gets his new High School uniform. he says: 'Asahikawa Higashi High School, today is the day.' he smiles. 'Today is the day I finally get to surprise them again'. He quickly packs his stuff in his schoolbag. Leo has been waiting for this day this whole summer. After Leo moved to Australia to his father he wanted to go back to Japan and now he's here and going to the same school as his old friends: Dijei, Shoji and Yuuki. He is excited to go. Leo walks out of the door with a goal and he is anxious for it. 'Here we go then, no way back now'. says Leo while closing the door behind him.

While walking to school Leo hears his name being yelled in the distance. As he lowers his headphones he hears : 'Leo!, Leo!' And as he turns around, he sees it's his little sister Maaya. Maaya is a year below Leo in school. She is a really social type of girl. She has long white hair and purple eyes, just like her brother. She is always happy and smiling. And loves to talk and have fun. 'Why are you ignoring me' Maaya asks. Leo points at his headphones and shrugs his shoulders. 'Goodmorning, Little Sis' he says as he puts his hand on her head. Whilst Maaya gives him a angry look.

'I hope that you have been well.' he quickly adds after his not so social greeting. Because of this Maaya starts laughing. 'I see your still not that social towards girls, unless its Yuuki or me' says Maaya grinning from ear to ear. Leo has always been unsocial around girls. Which is weird for some people since he has always been populair in school. Leo is a tall muscular guy. With white hair and piercing purple eyes. Cause of this he got populair for his looks. On top of that Leo is a talented person. He is amazing at basketball and is kind of a joker. So the guys in school also want him as a friend, cause he is in a league of his own.

During the walk to school they talked about what they did in the summer break. Maaya being her usually self and making everything sound so great. But while they talked Leo was to focused on one thing: Surprising his old friends!

And as soon as they reach the entrance of the school. He sees Yuuki, one of the people he wants to surprise. Yuuki is one of Leo's childhood friends. Yuuki is a really boyish type of girl who loves sports. She is easy to notice cause of her fire red hair and colorful eyes. 'Quiet! Maaya..' says Leo as he points to Yuuki who is talking to her friends. 'The old group doesn't know I am back in Japan' he tells Maaya. 'ARE YOU SERIOUS!?' says Maaya while Leo quickly put his hands against her mouth to quiet her down. 'You almost ruined it, I am gonna sneak up on her and surprise her'. Leo says as he slowly sneaks to the group of girls where Yuuki stands. He can hear Maaya says quietly : 'Good luck, Leo'. As she gives him the thumbs up!

'I hope we can have a good season this year' says Yuuki unaware that Leo is behind her.

While her friends just see a huge guy with white hair and piercing purple eyes standing behind Yuuki telling them to not say anything by putting his finger against his lips. The girls also not knowing who he is. He suddenly says: 'Yu-chan I see you're still trying to be better then me?' Cause of this Yuuki turns in shock and disbelief, cause there is only one person who calls her Yu-chan and that is Leo. As she turns around and sees Leo she yells out: 'Are you kidding me?! What are you doing here?'.

'I transferred here this summer break' says Leo in his deep voice whilst trying to hold back his laugh.' I moved back to Asahikawa this summer' he adds to his sentence while laughing.

'Why didn't you say anything? You idiot!' says Yuuki who is angry now knowing he has been back for awhile.

'I wanted to surprise everyone, so please don't tell the others that I am here' he pleads to Yuuki, who agrees and wants to help him with his master plan. 'Owh allow me to introduce him. This is Leo he is a childhood friend of Dijei and me.' says Yuuki to her friends that looked confused. 'Leo Serizawa, Nice to meet you.' as he introduces himself to her friends.

'Anyway' says Leo as he turns to Yuuki. 'I have to go to the teachers office. So we can catch up later' he says as he quickly walks towards the entrance waving Yuuki off.

'That sounds good' yells Yuuki back.

'Good morning' says Leo as he enters the office. 'I am looking for Miss. Kanasuji?' he quickly adds when one of the teachers turns around.

'That is me, Leo' as a woman lift her hand and waves him over.

'Its good to finally meet you, Leo-kun. I am Miss Kanasuji and I will be your Homeroom Teacher this year. I hope you settled in nicely?'

says Miss Kanasuji while she politely bows whilst saying it.

'Yes I have, Thanks for asking, I am here to pick up my school clothing and information about the year.' says Leo.

Leo moved back to Japan only a couple weeks ago and didn't get the chance to get his stuff earlier.

'You are lucky' says Miss Kanasuji. ' We still had some school attire in your size.' she says. 'All we ask is that you at least where the jacket or the blouse of the school. Everything else is all up to you.'

Leo bows and asks about the information and what class he will be set in this year.

After Leo is done the two of them walk to his classroom. He forgot the ask if some of old friends were in the same class. but he thought it was a good surprise anyway. Upon arriving at the classroom he looks up and sees the class number: 2-B on the board.

'Wait here while I inform the class and introduce you to all of them' says Miss Kanasuji as she walks in.

Whilst waiting for the queue to enter. Leo starts to get nervous.

Its been awhile since he spoke Japanese and even whilst talking to Miss Kanasuji and Yuuki earlier it did feel a bit weird to him.

But he knows Japanese since he grew up here.

Finally Miss Kanasuji waves him in to introduce himself.

'This is gonna be your new classmate for this year'

she says as she point to Leo. 'This Leo Serizawa and he moved back to Japan this summer from living in Australia for 5 years.' And as she introduces him out of nowhere in the class came: 'EEHHHH!!??'

'Leo-kun?' Whilst nervous standing in front of the class, Leo relaxes as he sees who yelled his name out loud. It was Dijei, his best friend from his old group.

Dijei grew up around the same area as Leo, the same street to be precise. Dijei is quite tall and is known for his blond hair and blue eyes. He loves soccer and always loves to game. They became friends when they were little kids. And so did Dijei's and Leo's mom. You can say Leo sees Dijei's mom as a second mother. 'Good to see you again' says Leo whilst looking at Dijei. After Leo said this. Miss Kanasuji asks: 'Do you two know each other?' to which they both nod yes.

'Well that works out great' she says 'Cause there is a spot left to the right of him by the window.' she finishes.

'Please go take a seat there and make yourself comfortable' she says. To which Leo just politely nods.
