I'm In Love With A Monster

*Jin's POV*

We were so close.
We were almost together forever.
We were nearly there.

But this thing had to happen.
And it ruined it all.

She doesn't even remember me.
All that time - gone within a split second.

My heart is shattered for myself, but it aches for her.
For her health.
Her safety.

Her love.

I love her more than words could possibly say.

So when I heard her heart monitor speeding up, I panicked.

I screamed for the doctor. When I didn't see anyone coming to her aid, I ran in to try and save her. But I didn't make it in.

I felt multiple people take my arms and pull me back. I was screaming with tears streaming down my face.

"Lina! Don't leave. Please!"

I turned around to face her parents. They pulled me into a tight embrace down on the floor.

Finally, nurses came rushing in and managed to wake her up.

They began to push her back into the surgery room. I scrambled up to my feet towards one of the nurses.

I asked her "What are- what are you doing with her?"

The nurse barely explained "She's in dire need of an emergency surgery in her brain. Something has occurred and her levels are not balanced."

I grabbed her forearm tightly in my grasp and asked "She's gonna be alright though. Right?"

The nurse reached to push my arm off as she spoke. "Well, sir, we can't-"

I cut her off and squeezed her arm a little. "Right?!"

She nodded and said "I promise we'll do everything in our power to help her."

I let her go and slid down to my knees. Suga kneeled down next to me and placed his arm on my back. We both watched as Lina entered the surgery room.

I let go of the breath I was unaware I was holding in.

Suga broke the everbearing silence. "Jin, I have to tell you something. Lina is in love. With me. And..." he took a breath and completed his statement.

"I'm in love with her."
