"You're going to London?!" My best friend Talia yelled at me as I brushed my teeth.

"It's a huge maybe." I said spitting out the tooth paste.

"I think you should go." Marcus said reading his book.

"Nobody asked you Marcus!" Talia scowled.

"Talia calm down." I said.

"I don't want you to leave. Can you bring someone with you?" She said.

"I think so." I said picking up the envelope.

"Yeah I can bring two people." I said.

"Perfect bring me and Marcus." She said.

"But y'all argue too much, plus aren't you busy?" I said.

"I don't wanna be here without you guys." She said.

"Okay but Talia you have volley ball and a whole bunch of other shit, and you have a wedding to plan." Marcus said.

"Okay maybe I can live without Marcus." She said.

"And you wonder why I never invite you to his house." I said.

"I don't see why you despise me so much." Marcus said.

"Because you always wanna add your two cents that nobody asked for." She said.

"Lies you don't like him because he rejected you back in high school." I said.

"I know you fucking lying." She said.

"Talia you told me this yourself. You said you was jealous how close me and him are like a couple or something." I said.

"But he has a girl now." She said.

"Not anymore." He said.

"What?! What happened?" Me and Talia said at the same time.

"She cheated." He said.

"Why do you seem so unphased by it." Talia said.

"Because everyone is just a distraction and if you let people phase you then you get let down." He said. I swear he's a poetic artist.

"That's a way to think of people." I said.

"Indeed it is." He said continuing to read his book.

"Why can't I be like you Marcus." I said.

"Not everyone has my mindset. Especially you." He said.

"Why you say that?" I said.

"Because of ole boy." He said.

"What boy?!" Talia said getting excited.

"Who?" I said.

"Stephon." He said. Stephon was my recent ex and my first love. We recently broke up and we've been together since freshman year of high school.

"Don't you dare mention that name." I said.

"You're still not over it? It's been 2 months." Talia said.
"I don't wanna hear it Talia cause this was my first boyfriend, love, kiss, and time all into one." I said.

"Oh that's rightttt." She said.

"I'm sorry does anyone else notice that boy outside? He's been there for hours." Marcus said.

"What?" I said looking outside. There was nothing there.

"Don't scare me like that Marcus." I said.

"I'm not kidding. There was someone there." He said.

"Well I gotta go outside to my car I'll check it out." I said. As I walk outside to my car I put my keys between my fingers to protect myself just in case and I see that car I saw on my way to work earlier. There's no fucking way I'm being followed.

"Hey." I heard someone say. I turn around almost shaking and it's Jovanni.

"You scared me." I said.

"Yeah I can tell." He said holding my hand. I slightly laugh and he lets go of my hand.

"So you live around here." I said leaning against my car trying to act cool.

"No my nana does do. I live on campus." He said.

"Oh cool cool." I said looking around trying to stay aware.

"Yeah what about you?" He said.

"Huh? Oh no my best friend lives around here." I said.

"Are you okay?" He said.

"Um Yeah I'm fine! Why do you ask?" I said.

"Geez maybe because you almost stabbed me and you seemed worried." He said.

"Well there was a incident this morning but I'll be fine." I said.

"Oh well do you need help getting something out your car." He said.

"What? Yes! Oh my goodness yes thank you so much." I said then opened my car. I pulled out my photography stuff and my book bag and he grabbed my photography stuff. I closed the door and locked it then headed back to the house.

As I see Karoline wall back into the house with that dude I can't help to get angry. I get a notification from my brother saying it's time I head back home. As I'm walking to my car the dude comes down and we make eye contact and nods at me. I nod back and get into my car. Whoever this guy is I promise he won't get in the way of me and Karoline's relationship. She's the love of my life and I can't afford any mishaps.
