The tinman and I drive back to the police station to interrogate the killer.

It doesn't say much on the way over to the station, I ask it a couple of questions and it answers them in a polite manner, but doesn't talk to me a whole lot, it's mood has appeared to... deflate.

I can't quite put my finger on it but it's acting differently than how it was before.

We arrive at the station and before getting out I turn to it, "Is there anything you need to tell me?" I ask, he looks at me confused.

"No Lieutenant, why?" it asks, "You've been talkative all night and now all of the sudden you're quiet it's just... weird." I say, "I'm sorry if you feel that I've been too quiet, you appear to not like my company so I decided to not ask questions besides what is necessary" it explains.

I frown slightly as I stare at its face, it doesn't show any emotion, its face just remains blank. I don't know why it's making me intrigued but it is, a machine that shows absolutely no emotion and no empathy, but has the knowledge of anything and everything, it's so... fascinating.

"Okay, well. When we go in there, I'll do the talking, you can just stand by and watch, got it?" I ask, it nods.

"Got it" it responds, "Good," I say then get out and walk inside.

We make it into the station and downstairs before quickly being debriefed, I walk into the room with the killer who doesn't even look up when I walk in, the machines head remains down even as I sit in the chair across from it.

"My name is Lieutenant Natasha Parish, I'm going to ask you a couple of questions is that okay?" I ask.

It doesn't move so I take that as a yes.

"So why'd you kill your owner?" I ask.

It stays looking down not moving, "What happened before you took that knife?" I ask.

I glance at the two-way mirror before looking back at the killer, "How long were you in the attic?" I ask, starting to get more annoyed with it not answering me.

"Why didn't you try to run away?" it still doesn't look up nor move, I snap at it, still doesn't move, I wave my hand in front of its eyes, it doesn't even blink.

"Is it shut off?" I ask as I turn to look into the mirror, "I am not an it" I hear it say, I turn back to look at it, he's glaring at me with a look of hatred.

"I am just like you, I am a he, not an it" it spits at me, I stand back baffled.

"Why didn't you run away?" I ask again, he looks down again and refuses to answer me.

I slam my hands down on the table "Say something, goddamit!" I yell, he doesn't flinch.

"Fuck it" I mutter, I stand up and slam my chair into the table before leaving the room, I walk into the control room where the team and tinman are.

"We're wasting our time interrogating a machine, we're not gonna get anything out of it," I say extremely annoyed.

"'Could always try roughing it up a little" Doug says from the corner.

I don't talk to Doug, he got drunk at a Christmas party once and tried to cop a feel on me, I kicked him in the balls and threatened to sue until he finally left me alone.

"After all, it's not human" he adds, I start to nod in agreement but the android behind me chimes in.

"Androids don't feel pain, you would only damage it," it says matter of factly, I smirk as I glance at Doug, he's glaring at the android.
