Your POV.
I woke up to the brightness of the sun hitting my face. It was Tuesday. I was going in for my interview as a song writer today. I had to compose a song and play it for them. To be honest I was kind of nervous.
I got dressed, made some pancakes and a smoothie. My best friend was out of town for the weekend and is coming back on Thursday. I made my way downstairs and hopped in my car on my way to the interview. When I got there I was told to wait in a room. When it was my turn, a lady with a clip board called my name.
"Y/N?"
"That's me." I whispered to myself.
I got up and followed the lady to a door. She knocked first and then opened it. I saw three formally dressed people sitting down at a glass desk. One of them smiled at me, I responded with a weak, nervous smile. The clipboard lady smiled an encouraging smile at me and closed the door behind her.
"Sit down." A man in a suit nodded to the single chair in front of the desk.
"Thank you" I murmured.
"So why do you want this career?" A lady in a white shirt and navy blazer questioned.
"I love listening to music, I can just connect and express myself through it. I really enjoy making it too." I answered nervously.
"I believe you have prepared a song for us. Would you like to preform it?" The one suit asked.
"Yes! Of course!" I answered a little too quickly.
'I never thought I'd ever find a guy,
I never thought I'd ever find someone,
But one day , one day I saw you walk into my shop,
Your beautiful hair and lovely eyes,
You walked up to me and asked me for a coffee.
You wanted extra cream.
I starred for too long and stumbled on my words,
You thought that was cute!'
I finished my song and they applauded. I smiled shyly and thanked them.
They said they liked my song and would call me back on Friday.

I drove home through the busy streets of New York to my little apartment. I was softly singing my song on the way. Once I had gotten home I plopped my bag down on the small table by the door. I took out my phone and opened my music app. I scrolled through my playlists eventually coming to 'Dear Evan Hansen' (my new favourite at the moment), I clicked shuffle and turned up the volume. I made my way to the kitchen and started making lunch. I cook up some mean salads (A/N yes we're going for the healthy option. If only I was like this irl haha jk), so I decided to go for that. I sang along to all the songs while making the salad. After I was done making it I sat down on the couch and ate it while checking my Twitter. I got a text from my bestie Ruby (the one who lives with me) and she said that tickets to see Dear Evan Hansen were on sale next Wednesday, and that we had to go!! I squealed with excitement!! And then remembered....I'm poor... I had just graduated college and if I wasn't poor enough I had rent to pay. I furrowed my brows wondering what I could do to get the money. I HAD to go see it! I continued to eat my salad, finishing it quickly.
I left my apartment and wandered around the city. I brought my camera hoping to capture something. I took some photos and was getting a bit tired so I found myself a coffee shop and made my way inside, warming up a bit as it was cold outside. I ordered my coffee and looked around. The I spotted something. It was a sheet of paper taped to the window. I walked over to see what it read.
"Staff wanted,"
"Working 5 hrs 4 days a week."
I snatched the paper off the glass and brought it up to the girl at the counter.
"Who do I speak to, to get this job?" I asked quickly
"Oh! Well if you're interested just ask me!" She replied sweetly
"When do I start?" I questioned with a smirk.
