We reached the restaurant and were seated at a table in the corner. It was busy but not crowded.
"So when did you get the job?" Ruby asked
"Well today was my first day!" I replied looking up from the menu
"Oh! Why did you get it though? You're going into musical theatre right?" She questioned
"Yes hopefully but........"
"What???!" She quickly asked starring at me with big bulgy eyes
"I did it so we can....." I said teasing
"WE CAN WHAT Y/N?!!" She asked getting impatient
"So we can go see DEAR EVAN HANSEN!!!!" I told her with a massive grin on my face
"OMG AHHHHH I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!" She screamed standing up and jumping up and down
"How much do they pay??" She asked ignoring the stares
"$30 per day." I answered gesturing for her to sit down
"How much would that be by Wednesday??" She quickly said siting down
We quickly do the math.120=4dys +60 =180+60=240
"We would have $240!!" I exclaimed
"That means just pay $20 and we'll have the tickets to see the best broadway show ever!!" She squealed
"Hold on now let's not forget George and Lin!" I said with a straight face
"Yes! Of course! Sorry!" She apologised
We ordered out food and talked a bit.
"Hey, so I was thinking," I muffled through the food in my mouth
"Mmh?"
"Maybe I could move into the flat next door to ours..." I said waiting for a reaction
"No! You can't Y/N!" She said shaking her head
"Why not?" I questioned tilting my head like a dog
"The rent is too high silly! Besides I like living with you, it's fun!" She said laughing a bit
"Omg! How could I forget rent!! That's the reason I got this job! Haha" I giggled
"Also forgot to mention it's been bought!" She added
"Oh! By who?" I asked curiously
"I don't know, I just saw movers bringing boxes up!" She said also curious
"Mmh. Maybe we should welcome them when we get back?" I said
"That's a great idea Y/N! Yes, let's do that!" She replied happily
We finished our meals and payed the bill. We walked back to the car and got in. Soon we made it to our apartment block. We walked up the stairs until we got to our floor. We saw the door next to ours. We looked at each other and knocked on the thick wooden door.
We waited.
And finally someone opened the door.
Both our jaws dropped.
I couldn't believe my eyes!
