Chapter 22

Hachiro lay on his bed and looked up to the ciling, its night time.....what is he doing right now. i wander is he even thinking about me.....do i cross his mind at all. Did he really mean those things he said to me? He turned to his side and took off the lights near his bed. Hachiro continue to lay there for a little while longer. The a light...a small light blinked in the room, he watched it and realized it kept changing postion,

"A Luciola......A firefly is the altered form of a soul of a soldier who haved died in war. Its a war to raise your status as a branch member but it is one that i have already lost. I have died in this war." Hachiro said to himself a he raised his had toward the firefly.

The light of teh firefly found its way out of Hachiro's roon heading out through the slightly opened glass door that faced the long balcony. Hachiro got up off the bed and looked to the glass door as the light breeze blew the curtain in just a bit. He walked towards the door and slided it to part as he walked out on the balcony.

Outside was light by the swarn of fireflies the flew about the field that lay beyond the balcony. 

Hachiro looked at the fireflies, there were so many. It light seem to reflect the calm that Hachiro wanted to feel in his heart. His mind was restless as it always was for the pass few weeks. Hachiro leaned against the post of the balcony and a firefly came and lay on his finger.

Hachiro stared at the little creature, then he felt s tear from his left eye and a slight smile curled his face. The firefly flew off.

As teh firefly flew off Hachiro heard a voice.

"Hachiro..san......."

Hachior wa shocked.
