Alice

"That's her."

"Shameless git."

"She's weird."

Why, thank you for whispering loudly enough that I can hear you all! Sarcasm lacing my inner voice.

In my perspective, everyone is pointing at me with an incredulous look and disgust plastered across their faces, whispering more rumours about me.

I thought I couldn't care less for in this premise, I used to be nothing who never wished to be something or someone. I swear to the heavens and nebulas above I never wished that. But majority of the universe must hate me. Because that changed after a rumour spreaded like wildfire. It was a rumour that I was the one who caused Calum's accident.

How dare they!

I don't need to explain myself to anyone, right? Therefore, I conclude that my school life will very soon meet its demise.

It's been like this for a month and I hate that such phenomenon is taking its toll on me that I started to avoid my very limited amount of friends.

"Alicia Styles! Stop feigning deafness when I know you have the hearing ability of a wolf!

He's at it again.

"Alice!"

Hastily, I close my locker before Ashton reaches me.

"Alice, my baby," he cooes sweetly, making me freak out even more. "Come on now, let's talk!"

Ashton keeps on screaming my name at the top of his lungs everytime I'm on a crowded corridor which I never failed to painfully ignore. And right now, I'm evading him again.

"ALICE!" He shouts.

I rush to my next class and heaved a deep sigh before entering.

Michael shows up yet again in my class for a, I quote and unquote, sit in.

"Tell me... Why're you here again, Mr. Clifford?" Our teacher's brows rising up to his hairline. All heads whip to Michael's direction which he pays no mind to.

How I envy his indifference.

"Sit in." He shrugs and everyone swerves their faces back to the vast white board.

I feel Michael watching me, his eyes boring holes on my cheeks.

A crumpled paper happily- well I can't say happily, I know even this piece of paper doesn't want to be anywhere near me.

Yes, I'm that gloomy.

As I was saying, a crumpled paper miserably tumbles on top of my desk. I open it knowing who threw it to me.

We told you to take a rest, not ignore us. Please, Alice, talk to us.

It was as if I'm beigng pushed to submit myself to a mental institution.

Are they crazy?

Why would they still want to talk to me?

Maybe I just don't wish to drag them along my... my temporary insanity.

Oh how I hope this is temporary.

Forgetting that class has just started and that my grades in this subject is plummeting down to the abyss, I stand up and face Michael Clifford.

I can feel all eyes on me.

"Calm down, Alice." A hand takes my wrist.

It was Trish. She was seated beside Michael when really she used to sit beside me.
