*Chapter 21*
Zaron
"Come on get in the car and stop dawdling," I sighed as I was already sitting in the car and waiting for Quentin to hurry up. It took some time until he got in and closed the door beside him that we could finally leave. "The hell, what took you so long?" I grumbled after starting the engine.
"My hair," he huffed. "See, it looks like a murderous cat jumped on my head." I looked at it and frowned at his exaggeration.
I didn't pay any further attention before I started driving. My mind drove off, thinking about the place Quentin grew up in. Though I quickly snapped out of it to follow the directions he was telling me while he was busy fixing his hair in the tiny mirror.
"You should stop, it's not getting any better, you know," I pointed at his hair.
"Shut up," he whined and seemed to already have realized that there was no help in this. "Ugh, should've just let my hair down instead," he pursed his lips.
"Yup, you look way cuter that way," I agreed.
"Huh? So I don't look good with my hair styled?" He pouted.
"That's not what I said, you moron!"
"Don't call me moron, you idiot," he threw back at me and crossed his arms. And that was how the rest of the ride went on. Apart from the the few directions it was silence between us. "We're here," he mumbled.
I looked around, seeing the house that was not far ahead of us. My eyes nearly fell out of my face when I stopped in front of it and saw how huge it actually was in comparison to afar. "Don't tell me you are a prince or something," I gasped and got out at the same time he did.
"I'm not," he shook his head and grabbed my hand, guiding me to the gate which was already open, different from the entrance door. So Quentin pressed the button to ring the bell instead of just taking out his keys. But even after we waited some time there wasn't anyone to open the door.
"Are you sure there is someone inside?" I doubted.
"Don't worry, they're definitely inside. I bet they're just too lazy to stand up," he waved away and pulled out his keys to unlock the door himself and step in.
From inside it looked like every normal house would. Just that there was a lot of unnecessary space and that the rooms were really big. I assumed that the house was empty after no one was in sight, but Quentin seemed to know it better and pulled his shoes off.
"I'm home," he shouted to purposely let everyone know we were home. "And Zaron is there, too," he added before he turned to me. "You need too pull you shoes or Ramon will get mad," he mentioned. So I quickly did as he told me to avoid any stress before even getting to know anyone. Well if they are really here.
Quentin was getting impatient and pressed his lips together. "I'll have sex in the kitchen if you don't show up now," he threatened.
That's when a loud sound came from upstairs before a guy that looked slightly older than Quentin leaned half over the railing of the stairs and warned him. "I'll kill you if you dare," he barked.
"I told you, you should kick that stupid idiot out already," another older guy showed up and pulled the other away from the railing.
"Hey!" Quentin grinned and waved them as it was normal to associate like that.
"Ramon is taking a shower, he'll come soon," one of the brothers said and came down, his eyes fully focused on me.
"What about Jin?" Quentin wondered. Though the guy just shrugged while the other decided to join us, too. "Oh okay," he nodded slightly disappointed.
