swirling long strands of spaghetti around her stainless steel fork, y/n stared at the bland meal that was in front of her. she wasn't hungry, but she thought that cooking something might help her calm down and stop thinking about... you know who.

spoiler alert:

it didn't

the dashing blue haired girl remained in y/n's thoughts, tangling her into the inescapable spider web that was growing larger and larger, littered with the other poor souls that inevitably fell for her.

"fuck it." she thought to herself.

slamming the piece of cutlery onto her plate with an audible bang, y/n jumped out of her seat and ran to her phone.

her fingers dashed across keyboard, typing as fast as lightning.

until suddenly, they came to a stop.

thumb hovering ever so slightly over the send button, y/n inhaled deeply.

y/n.l/n: hey sorry i was super tired last night, wuu2?

she sent it.

it wasn't long before a reply came from the blue haired girl, who had been anxiously waiting for y/n's response.

y/n's eyes widened as she read the messages that she had just received.

wherearetheavocados: i'm just chillin haha

wherearetheavocados: could i ask you something?

wherearetheavocados: you wanna meet up? maybe sometime this week

god dammit

there was no way she could go through with this. y/n knew that the closer she got to billie, the harder it would be to go back.

y/n.l/n: sorry... things have been pretty hectic lately, don't think i'll have time:(

she wanted to say yes so badly. but she couldn't. if anything was to happen between them both of their careers would be in jeopardy. she couldn't risk it.

y/n waited for a reply, but it never came.

y/n.l/n: sorry... things have been pretty hectic lately, don't think i'll have time:(
seen

a soft sigh came out of her mouth as she gently placed her phone back down, disappointment plastered all over her face.

y/n gazed at the window in front of her, staring at the birds sitting atop a small tree just outside. she watched as they flew away, somewhere far into the sky, gliding gracefully across the air.

she longed for that kind of freedom.

something had clicked inside of her. her stomach filled with butterflies causing her whole entire body to tingle.

maybe she had made a mistake.

y/n grabbed her phone off of the table, quickly inputting her passcode.

y/n.l/n: hey my manager just called, i have some time to spare tomorrow, 4:30 at starbucks?

wherearetheavocados: aight. see u tomorrow

she smiled as she read billie's reply. maybe this was the right thing to do.

y/n ran over to her closet and began looking for an outfit. she giggled slightly as she thought about being with billie. talking to her, touching her-

she shook her head.

no,
don't go there...

nothing was gonna happen. they were just going to hang out as friends,

friends...

once y/n had found an outfit, she brushed her teeth and went straight to bed. she did have a few shoots early in the morning after all.

staring at the ceiling, y/n tossed and turned. thoughts of billie were swimming around her head, digging into her skull.

it was impossible to stop thinking about her.

she was addictive. like heroin coursing through her veins. she was always there somewhere, in the back of her mind.

well...

she could worry about everything tomorrow.

y/n closed her eyes and finally fell into a deep slumber.

she had a big day ahead of her...
