Dylan had been studying in the library for the past 3 hours. He was working on his charms paper due next week but he just couldn't get it right. He had tried many times, but no words came to mind. He was overly stressed if he didn't write a good paper, he would fail charms. He could not fail charms.
Dylan's family were famous and known to be powerful wizards, especially in charms. Last year, he chose, well not really. His family hoped he would choose charms, and not wanting to disappoint them he chose charms, DADA, potions, and transfiguration for his owls.
Overall he did not succeed and his parents put too much pressure on him to be good in charms that here he was doing a charms paper at midnight in the library on a Friday.
Dylan's family had put great hopes on him to become an inventor and being good at charms was in the job description. Dylan knew what his parent wanted him to be. He disliked charms and was bad at it, but to please his family, he was studying way too much, just to understand what the teacher was saying.
He was discouraged, he didn't want to be a charm inventor, what he really wanted was to be an artist. He wanted to travel the world learning about the different wizarding culture from all around the globe. He knew his parents would never agree on his career choice, and he wanted to please them so he said nothing and continued writing his charms' paper.
He only had two years to suffer until school ended and then he would flee home. First, he would go to the Japan wizard community, known for his famous Mahoutokoro School of Magic. He wanted to know more about his ancestor's culture. There he would draw the blossoming trees, he would draw the muggle Ritsurin Garden and the Ikebana.
Then he wanted to go to Brazil, to discover the Amazonian forest, the Iguaçu falls and the Castelobruxo, which was a wizarding school.
Sighing, Dylan went back to his charms' paper, knowing that working this hard will all be worth it when he would be far away from England.

This is for Aprilunicorn, because slytherin aren't all, I hate the bad rep slytherin gets, so I made a little one shot to represent one kind of slytherin: the artist. I really liked the whole slytherin artist vibe, so I made an aesthetic
