XI ~ Maybe Not

~~~Harry's POV~~~

As Harry turned a corner into a new corridor, he saw his fellow 2nd year Gryffindors standing in front of him. He recognised Dean, Seamus, Parvati, Neville and of course Ron and Hermione. The rest of the students were all blocked from his view. The Gryffindors were casually talking to each other. Harry smiled, glad that things were going back to normal, and joined the cue of students waiting to be let into the class. 

Harry ended up right next to Hermione and Ron, who were at the end of the cue. 

"Hello." Harry said as a friendly greeting. 

Everyone around Harry turned quickly to look at him. Their faces had a completely shocked expression, and they looked as if they couldn't believe what they were seeing. 

"Harry?" Dean, who was right next to Hermione, exclaimed disbelievingly. 

At this, all the other Gryffindors turned to look as well. They all shared similar expressions to Dean. 

"Yeah, I've been discharged." Harry said. He felt a bit self conscious at all the attention that he was getting. 

Abruptly, there were loud whooping and cheering noises as the Gryffindors all crowded around Harry, greeting him for the first time in months. 

There were mixes of "So glad you're back!" and "I've miss you!"

Harry expressed his gratitude. They had started engaging in conversations, when Professor Mcgonagall arrived. She cleared her throat loudly, and almost immediately, everyone became silent and turned to look at her. 

She grinned slightly. "I'm glad you're back too, Mr. Potter." She said, before opening the doors with a wave of her wand. 

The others walked inside sheepishly, but Harry gave Mcgonagall a smile before following them.

Mcgonagall stood at the front of the classroom. She flicked her wand, and a few lines of text appeared on the board. 

"Okay. Using the information on the board, transfigure the button in front of you into a cockroach. Don't forget to concentrate. If you finish early, ask me for another button."

She gave another flick of her wand, and buttons of various shapes, colours and sizes appeared in front of everyone. 

Immediately, everyone began to flick through their transfiguration textbooks, and scrutinising the lines on the board. Harry was very confused as to what was going on. He decided to just read the board before taking action. 

Ouhanu's rule indicates that the transfiguration with small animals under the size of 10cm into an object will require the wand bearer to focus their magic and do an ubliary ruan or a hargwer, or else the spell will not be successful. 

The opposite of Ouhanu's rule is solved by adding the wand wood number to the size of the object and the magical intensity. Don't forget the faaiunga! 

Harry blinked a few times in confusion. He reread it 2 more times, but still didn't take in anything. 

What in the name of Merlin's beard does this mean?!   Harry thought. He had never heard of it in class before. They had also never done creature transformations. He realised how behind he was in class. 

Harry looked towards Hermione, who was tapping her large, grey button with her wand and murmuring something to herself. Harry looked down at his small, flower shaped one, and decided to try the same. 

Soon, Hermione's button turned into a cockroach. Professor Mcgonagall was surprised at how soon Hermione had managed it, and gave 10 points to Gryffindor. 

A while later, Hermione had finished her second button, and everybody else was making massive improvements. Ron's button had turned brown and sprouted cockroach legs. But Harry's button was still the same. 

Harry sighed and placed his wand down, thinking. 

Maybe I can just see if I can find any information in my book...

A/N: Hey guys. I'm kinda getting bored with this story. So I won't be updating it anymore. But I will be writing a NEW story about Harry getting cancer! It will kind of be where this story left off, except without the basilisk venom. Anyways, sorry again if you really liked this story. But tbh, I doubt it, cause it only got like 14 reads in total. 

(Also, this chapter wasn't proof-read or edited. So sorry if it's bad. But I'm too lazy to do anything about it lol)
