Detective Malik (Z.M Fanfic)

Chapter 2.

It's been a week since my vacation. Louis hasn't called me to notify me on any new cases,which I am some how stressing over. This all just seems so weird, i guess it's just the fact Im always working on cases and never at home relaxing, and now that I'm home relaxing, I just can't seem to relax.

Don't get me wrong, this week has been a good time off, I got to spend time with Perrie and took her out to places, and well I hadn't noticed how much I've been away from her.. Even though I saw her everyday while I was working.

It's around 10am right now. Perrie had left to work a little while ago,so it's just me today. It's pretty gloomy outside today, call me weird, but this is my favorite type of weather ever since I was a kid.

I take a sip of my juice, and sit down on the black leather couch. I look around for the remote,but can't seem to find it making me let out a frustrated annoyed sigh. "Ah, there it is." I mutter to myself. I turn on the tv with the news popping up.

"Another Detective Gone missing while working on 5 year unsolved case.." The news reporter states. " the 5 year unsolved case titled 'black hill manor' is still unsolved. People around the world are calling it the 'impossible case' since everyone who has ever tried to solve it just ended up quitting or being mysteriously disappeared." The woman says.

"Unsolvable case? Well see about that." I smirk to myself turning off the tv.

I quickly grab my I phone from my back pocket, and Dial Louis' number. After a few rings he finally picks up.

LOUIS: Hello?

ZAYN: Hey yeah it's me, I think I got a case..

LOUIS: what?! No! That was supposed to be my job!

ZAYN: oh shut up, can you do me a favor and do a bit of investigating for me about the case?

LOUIS: sure mate, what do you need?

ZAYN: make a few calls and do some back ground information for me about the case 'Black hill manor'

LOUIS: Black hill manor? No Zayn it's too risky, besides no one can solve it.

ZAYN: So you've heard about the case then, Good.

LOUIS: Zayn did you not hear me? It's dangerous and unsolvable!

ZAYN: I know Louis I heard you the first Time, and just trust me on this yeah? Besides.. I can solve anything.

LOUIS: ...okay then.. I'll do a bit of investigating and have the file work by your desk Monday morning.

ZAYN: Thanks Lou, I can always count on you.

LOUIS: Thanks, and same for you Zayn.

*Monday Morning; Detective Malik's Office*

I sit on my desk with my phone typing away, while waiting for Louis. Just on Cue Louis enters my office with a knock on my door. I sit up on my seat.

"Here's the file on Black Hill Manor Detective Malik." He says slamming it on my desk, and taking a seat on the chair in front of my desk.

I grab the file and begin to skim through it.

September 13th , 2011

3 residents of black hill manor have recently gone victimized earlier this day.

Owners of Black Hill Manor Anne Cox, and newly wed husband of over 2 years Robin twist were on Vacation during the whole experience, leaving her only son Harry Edward Styles by himself with two other of his close friends; Niall James Horan and Drake Rivers to stay at the house for weekend being.

Nobody knows what happened to these young boys.

All we know right now is that they are all remained missing.

I flip the paper and read another article that was written and published 3 days after the first published news article.

BLACK HILL MANOR

September 16th 2006

1 of out of three local boys of Holmes Chapel who spent a weekend in the mansion who's one of their parents owned was found brutally murdered today. He was found out back in a clearing not too far from the mansion itself.

The body is identified to be Drake Rivers. Who was known to be best friends with Harry Edward Styles(owner of the mansions son) and Niall James Horan.

The two other boys Harry Styles and Niall Horan are still not found.

Officers have reported there was No break in into the mansion, and no stolen items.

So what did this murder have against these 3 young boys?

I scratch behind my neck. Why would someone break into a manor with no assumption of stealing any objects what so ever, and just harm these 3 boys?

I flip the article reading the next one which takes place 1 week after the body of Drake Rivers was found.

It's been a week since the body of Drake Rivers has been found, and today they found the young boy Harry Edward Styles in a comatose state in the basement of the manor.

Officers said they found him unconscious in the basement tied up left for dead but miracle has it that he was still alive. Doctors say he is in a coma and won't be waking up anytime soon to the damage of his origins and tissue in his brain.

Harry styles is currently in the local Holmes chapel hospital.

No sign of Niall James Horan yet.But is this some sort of pattern we should keep an eye out for?

I go through a couple of more articles concerning of this case until one finally catches my eye. The article takes place a year after the murder scene.

BLACK HILL MANOR

September 13th 2012

Today is the one year anniversary of Black hill manor.

The case has been open for a year now and there's just no sign of this case going anywhere.

"There's just not enough evidence." The Detective stated. "This case just doesn't make sense."

Where there you have it everyone. This case is just another dead end.

Will this case ever be solved?

I raise my head up to meet Louis'. I give him a sort of confused look and he nods."I know this is all just a big confusing puzzle." He said scratching his head.

I sigh. I haven't even attempted to work on this case and I already know this is going to be the hardest I will ever work on.

But it's a challenge I asked for..

So challenge accepted.
