After struggling through a mind-numbing conversation about Liam's promotion, I head into an alley behind the Starbucks. It's disgusting. Now, high end company, posh business associates, gender-equal pay... this calls for a blazer. I transform my clothes into a mid-thigh length, black, skater skirt with a white blouse and a black blazer. I leave my head as it is because why waste time when something looks great anyway? I pull my handbag back over my shoulder and snap myself to a lane behind Pym Tech industries.
The building is large, grey and, quite frankly, a funny shape. That's essentially all there is to know. I walk up the pathway to the front doors, passing numerous stuffy people with their noses in the air. Pft, they think they're better than me? I bet they can't fit nine jumbo marshmallows in their mouth at once... Actually, I don't know if I can any more... I need to try that later.
I enter the the building and am hit by a strong smell of disinfectant and floor polish.
"Hello," I begin speaking to the the secretary "I am here for my interview for the job of the secretary."
"Yes," She sneers at me, looking me up and down "well, Lisa will be out in a minute to get you."
Stuffy bitch. Just because I might replace her.
"I'll just take a seat then." I perch myself on a grey chair in the reception and take a moment to look around myself. There's very little in the way of decoration, some ugly fake flowers here, a painting that could have been done by a two year old there. All in all, just a lack of anything that isn't grey or white.
"Miss Elizabeth Newett?" A voice calls across the room.
"Yes, that's me." I reply, standing and turning to face a woman with straight, waist length, blonde hair.
"Follow me."
I follow her down a hallway to an office with the name Lisa Holden on the door. She lets me in and gestures for me to sit in a grey tub-chair.
"So, Miss Elizabeth, you are here to interview for the position of secretary here at Pym Tech, am I correct?" She asks me, sitting opposite me in a similar chair.
"That is indeed correct." From there the interview commences. The usual yah de yah, you know the process, she asks me questions, I answer them, she judges me heavily, the ordinary routine.
"So, you were actually the last interview that we accepted and, quite frankly, I am glad that we did. I would like to offer you the position."
What do you think I do?
I accept, of course, what else would I do?
"Thank you, Ma'am."
"Be here at seven O'clock sharp tomorrow morning, goodbye Miss Elizabeth."
I step from her office thoroughly pleased with how that went. I got the job and now all I have to do is get used to the new me. My phone rings in my pocket so I answer it, a grin plastered across my face.
"Hello?"
"Hello? Who is this?"
"I'm sorry, who are you?" My grin quickly turns to a frown at the evident panic in the person's voice.
"I need help, please help me! Please!"
"Okay, where are you?" I ask, readying myself to teleport to wherever they tell me.
"I'm in New York, behind the Starbucks in times square, something is chasing me, help me please!" Their panic levels are rising so much that their voice has risen to a shout.
"I'm on my way."
I teleport myself to the location, regardless of the fact that I am in broad daylight, in front of hundreds of people. As I travel, I change back into my clothes from earlier but, this time, I put the enchantment on my face that prevents my features from settling. To an onlooker, my features will be constantly shifting, never settling on one look. I land in the road behind the Starbucks and immediately begin searching for the voice that summoned me.

FanfictionSome have prejudices. They say I'm just a monster, just confused, just lost, just disgusting, just anything that they do not like. I say, however, that I am just brave, just damaged, just myself... Just, possibly, a witch.
