XVI. The letter

Its been two days since Taehyung has been so clingy to Jennie. His day will never be complete without seeing her. However, he cant see Jennie today because he will be attending a conferrence in his mother's company of which he was assigned to observe.

He could not keep his mind off Jennie. He wonders what and how she's been doing. He has unknowingly gone mad with love.

"Son?" He regained his physical presence when his mother pinched him on his waist. "I see ur not listening." He just looked at his mom and then pretended to listen to the speaker. He cant help himself but think about what shall he do after...he wants to surprise Jennie. He was leaning his head against his palm while hitting the pen with the table thru his fingers. Unconciously, his actions bothered some people near him and thus his mother smacked him on his leg.

"Taehyung. Stop it." His mom said and he nodded; he dont wanna argue with his mom that is why he remained silent and never reason out whenever his mother talks to him.

"Let's take a break before we resume our case study regarding the case of Yuo Chandi." The head researcher of the company announced.

His smile brightened up and pulled himself out of the chair. He walked going outside.

His mother kept and eye on Taehyung. She doesnt like how acts. Jennie was a distraction for his son and she doensnt like it. Above all, she was no match for Tae.

She followed tae.

"Yaaah. Dont get urself too tired." Taehyung said on the line in a very sweet tone.

"Hahahaha"

"Okay baby! 3 more hours."

"Ohhhhhh. What do u want?....again? Milk ice cream? Aishhhh. Okay2 ill bring u one."

Those were the line of taehyung while he was on call.

"Hmmm" his mother cleared her throat and Tae noticed it. He then looked back to confirm that it was his mother.

Taehyung whisphered to his phone..."Wait for me at home by 7pm baby. I love you."

"Wait for me at home by 7pm baby. I love you."

"I cant co----..." *toot toot toot* "aish the dumb! He wont let me finish any sentence!!!" Jennie groaled.

"I see someone is in love." Rose teased jennie who's pouting at her phone.

"Jennie-yah! I thought your mine!" Lisa said as she stopped mopping the restaurants floor.

"Aisshhhh!! These gays!!" Rose screamed while she threw Lisa tissues.

The girls laughed

"Im kidding." Lisa said and mopped the floor again.

"And its gross." Jennie said which made rose and jisoo covered their mouth while they are trying not to laugh. Jennie noticed them and added, "just so u know."

"Ur so savage" lisa pouted and acts like she was all hurt while jennie smiled and rolled her eyes. Jisoo then rushed to lisa and brushed her face. "i got you" she said to lisa.

"Gays" rose laughed and then turned her back. "Where are you going?" Jisoo shouted while she was backhugging lisa. "Ive got some load to do."

Jennie on the other hand was smiling insanely as she wiped the counter.

Jisoo noticed it and came closer to Jennie. She was the one closest to her among them four since they've been together longer.

"Yaaah. So is taehyung oppa asking ur to marry him?"

"Whaaat!?"

"What 'what?' " jisoo asked as she crossed her arm. "I know when you're in love."

"No im not"

"Yes u are!" Jisoo pointed out Jennie's nose and made cute faces to her which made Jennie laugh.

"That's one proof. They say if u touched somebody's nose and they laugh, it means they are lying....." jisoo said and she leaned closer to jennie and soft talked, "go for that love."

Jennie acted all shocked at Jisoo while the fake maknae winked at her.

Before jisoo could leave her and do her job....

"Unni! I...i will be absent for tonight's shift." Jennie said with a little bit hesitation and shyness. She knew jisoo is smart enough to notice that little by little she was becoming fond of tae.

"Wae?"

"Ummm..."

"Ah yah. Ok."

"thank u unnie!!!!" Jennie hugged jisoo. "Ill just finish preparing the shop and ill go ahead"

Few minutes later....

"Jennieyah. Someone's looking for you."

"Who?"

"Idk unni. He was a guy...ummm looks decent? Oh and yah, has a car."

"Omo." She panicked and lisa was all shookt for she doesnt know what was happening.

"Chichu, im out. Byebye." Jennie winked at Jisoo. "Bye lisas..bye hubby!!"

Jennie then immediately took a glance of herself on the mirror and fixed her hair and smiled. It could be tae. She thought. She looked on her phone's time and confirmed that it was already 2:58. Almost 3 hrs had passed. It must be him. She added and hurriedly went outside. She saw the man standing standing outside the shop while talking to the phone. Her smile faded as she noticed it was not tae.

"Yes? Are u looking for me?"

The man nodded and handed her a letter.

"Who sent this?" The man didnt reply and went back to his car and drove.

"How rude" she murmured.

She then inspect the letter and saw "Dr. Kim"

As soon as she saw her name...her heart cant stop thumping fastly. She ran to the nearest park and opened the letter. She doesnt want the girls to see her so she decided to read it alone. She knew it has something to do with tae and surely its not good; especially when it comes from his mother.

Annyeong Haseyo Jennie Kim!

I never know what is your real intention to my son. Honest to goodness, from what I have witnessed from you during your mom's stay at the hospital and you being the super daughter, i felt like you are a wonderful person. But you are not better with my son--in return, he is not better with you. You are smart and I hope i dont need to ellaborate more about it.

Staying away from my son is the best thing to do. If u really love him, you would let him be surrounded with ppl with the same level as he is. He will soon marry my business partner's daughter and i dont any scandalous acts affect our pact in the trading.

The letter was surely long...she couldnt finish it any longer as she cant handle it anymore. Her tears are flowing freely from her cheeks.

Is everything written real? She kept on questioning herself.... God knows how she wants to be with him but his mother might be right. After all, mothers knows best.
