XIII. Fake

The door opened and revealed a Tae and Jennie who's in the middle of enjoyment of their talks.

Taehyung who was sitted on Jennie's lap immediately stood...same as Jennie. They both bowed to Tae's mom.

Jennie remained her eyes docked on the floor after she bowed. She felt embarassed. If she could just go home and leave the contract there but she cant.

"Eomma, this is Jennie."

"Annyeong. Jennie imnida."

"I already know her. Right Jennie?"

Jennie glanced at tae first then to his mother. Dr. Kim flashed a slight and small smile to her as jennie shows her worry face naturally but still is faking a smile.

"Did u already met?" Tae barged in.

"Yes." Taehyung's mom firmly said as she turned her back towards the couple and shut the door slowly.

Taehyung became so suspicious about the two and she held Jennie by her two shoulders "when, how did u meet?"

Jennie kept her eyes locked on tae who is now about to cry. She cant speak a word. She doesnt know what to say. She cant defend herself. Who is she compared to his mom? Of course, he will side her. That is why she felt how useless it is to tell the whole story. In fact, her mom was on the affirmative side. Tears started to fall on Jennies cheeks.

Taehyung let out a heavy and deep sigh. "Jennie-yah, you can tell me everything..." tae then hugged the disturbed jennie.

"We...i......i..." jennie was sobbing hardly that she cant even manage to speak.

"She went into o---" jennie wasnt able to finish her talk as they heard tae's mom calling him.

"Taehyung! We've ran out of ingredients. Come out in the kitchen and buy some foods for our guest." Her mom's voice can be heard from afar.

The two who were both looking at the door directed their eyes to each other. "See? She'll eventually like you. She wants to make u feel comfortable by giving you foods. I'll buy some come back for you baby."  Taehyung's mood now switched to a merry one and he kissed jennies forehead and left.

Jennie was so uncomfortable to go out and decided to just stay inside tae's room. However, few minutes later, tae's mom went in.

"You are still not listening to your mom. How much does he pay you? Isnt discharging your mom from the hospital enough?"

What jennies been afraid of is now coming to life...

"What more do u want? Iphone x? Elegant clothes? What? Coz ill buy for u to stop tagging with my son."

"Excuse me madam but I think eduaction doesnt bring enough mannners. Yes i worked for him for my mom. But never did I demanded anything from him." Jennie couldnt help herself anymore and answered back tae's eomma.

"Funny. Well then, poor education could also lead you to a disgusting job. How will you rate the standard? Educated but ill-mannered or poorly educated and slaves of money?"

Jennie clenched her feast. Yes, she felt degraded by tae on their first day but she never felt humiliated like this.

"Lets get the point straight, how much do u need to stop following my son?" Tae's mom got her cheque and signed it as she wait for Jennie to utter an amount. She is very willing to pay just to get rid of her.

"I love your son. And by now he isnt paying me anything. I chose to be with him because i loved him."

Taehyungs mom went shocked and rolled her eyes on Jennie. "What on earth! Kids nowadays always misconcept love." Being unable to rebat jennies answer, she quickly left.

Jennie sighed in relief. Her words were half-meant. But somehow she felt lighter within after saying those words.

Am i really falling in love? She thought.

Tae is now back and called Jennie to come with him in the kitchen and prepare the food. He also asked Jennie to call his mom for them to eat. Jennie was a little bit hesitant but did it anyway. She doesnt want to ruin tae's mood for today.

"She wont answer. And when I peeped in, ur eomma was sleeping."

"Ohhhh...she must be tired from work. Dont worry, she'll eat by herself when she wake up." Tae then put foods unto Jennies plate.

"Yaaah!!! Ur putting a lot. I cant finish all those."

"Uh-oh. U have to eat a lot. Ur getting thin. I want you to maintain your figure....like the first time, ur so squishy."

Jennie hit tae on his arms.

"Ouch!!! Eh wae!"

"You perv!!!!!"

Tae again peck her on her lips. "Whenever u tell those words to me, this is what u get." He pecked again and then started eating.
