Chapter Six

Maria's pov

"WHERE IS MY WHORE OF A GIRL FRIEND." I know it’s Ben I push Tony away from my legs. I can hear Tay yelling at "Ben what the hell are you doing here. Do not be calling my baby cousin a whore. How did you even get back here?" I can't believe this is happening right now.

"Tay how about you go kill yourself and make sure this time to do the job right and not just be a fuck up." Ben yells at Tay. I run out to see Tay crying on the ground while Vic holds her. "There you are you fucking whore” Ben snaps at me.  I know I am a whore what I let Tony do to me I mean I don't even know the kid. "I'm sorry Ben" I say with my head looking down. “You know Maria I'm a good guy any girl will be lucky to have me, you should be happy I even looked at you. You’re a dirty Mexican girl who dad can't even love you." Right when Ben says the words I see a fist rum into his face. "Oh fuck" is all I hear from Jaime. I see Vic, Mike run over to Tony trying to pull him off of Ben. I can't believe what is going on. "Stop Tony" I yell "Please stop!' Tony looks at me with big brown eyes and gets up and pulls me to the back.

Tony's Pov

“You’re a dirty Mexican girl who’s dad can’t even love you." All I can hear is Maria saying sorry over and over again. I can't control myself any longer I run over to Ben and punch him right in the face. I hear Jaime yell oh fuck as all three of the guys try to pull me off of him. This kid who the hell does he think talk to Maria like this I'm going to bash his face into the ground. I can hear Maria yelling Stop Tony Please stop. I look right at her she crying. I throw Ben and I pull Maria to the back. "Tony are you ok, I am so sorry." Maria says. "Maria stop apologizing to me it's not your fault baby girl." I pull her into the bathroom. I pick her and sit her on the counter; I get a towel and start cleaning off her face. "Why are you being so nice to me Tony? You don't even know me." I don't know her, but she broken I can tell. She so beautiful I don't understand how someone can treat her like this. Her eyes tell a story I want to know everything about her. “Stay with me so I can know you.” She laughs “Tony. No I can’t I still live at home with my dad he would kill me.” There a knock at the door. “Who is it?” “It’s Tay” the voice yells back. “Open it.” Maria says. Tay eyes are red from crying. “Tay what’s wrong.” Maria asks Tay worried. “Maria he told me kill myself.” All I see is Maria eyes close. “Come here Tay” Tay walks over to Maria.

“Your alright Tay I promise you. You are the most perfect cousin I have. My life would be shit without you. I need you, you can’t leave me with my dad.” Tay starts laughing “Please stop crying Tay please.” Maria can say everything all the right things to Tay, but she can’t think about it for herself. “Where at Ben Tay?” Maria ask. “O Ben he got kicked out Tony pretty much fucked the dude up. By the way Tony good job I’ve been wanting to that for months.” I just smile at Tay she has bright green eyes. “Maria are you ready to leave?” Maria looks at me “Hey Tay I think I’m going to go with Tony if that’s ok with you?’

Maria’s Pov

I can’t believe I just ask Tay I hope she says NO! Tay looks at Tony then me. “Tony I swear to god if you hurt her, I will kill you I don’t care if your part of Pierce The Veil or not.” Tay says. “Have fun baby girl I think I’m going with Vic tonight he a really nice guy. If your Dad calls don’t worry I got it.” With saying that Tay gives me the biggest hug kiss my cheek and walks away towards Vic. I’m all alone with Tony. I don’t know why those words came out of my mouth, but he protects me I never had that before not even from my dad.  Tony clears his throat “Well Maria are you ready to leave?” I close my eyes maybe I should just stay and go home. I look at tony he beautiful everything about him is perfect. “Promise me something Tony” “What Maria?” “We can get frozen yogurt before we go to your house.” Tony laughs “Yes Maria we can get frozen yogurt.” At that we turn to the door to head out.

San Diego nights can be cold and I’m dressed like a whore, maybe it’s because I am a whore like Ben says. “You want my hoodie” Tony ask “Please can I?” He takes off his hoodie and hands it to me. The sides of his shirt are cut off showing more tattoos I can’t help but stare at him. I want to kiss each and every one of them. He catches me looking at him “Like what you see” I can feel my cheeks burning. We walk towards a black SUV with dark windows. “Ok so where a yogurt place close by?” I ask Tony he doesn’t say anything he just drives. A Red Hot Chili Pepper song comes on and of course I know every word to it and I sing along. The Peppers were my mom’s favorite band she would always listen to them.

Tony Pov

As she sings along to the Peppers I can’t help but smile she perfect in every way. She catches me smiling at her. “You like what you hear tony?” “You not any Vic Fuentes that for sure maybe he can give you singing lessons.” I say with a smile. Maria hits my arm “Hey I sing pretty good.” “Keep telling yourself doll.” As we pull into the yogurt place I can already see girls wearing Pierce The Veil shirts. Our fans are everything to me but some fans, take it too far calling girls we are with whore calling them fat ugly. I look at Maria. I don’t want them saying anything like that about her. I never want to hear someone say anything like that about her again.

“Come on Tony” she says. We both get down I can already see the girls smiling so big. “Looks like you have some fans in here,” Maria says with a smile. All the girls start to scream asking for pictures look at me crying. I take pictures with the girls. “Hey Tony is that your girlfriend” she says pointing to Maria she getting both of us yogurt. I look at the girl “Yes she is my girlfriend her name is Maria.” The girl looks at me and smiles “Well she is really beautiful.” “Thank you she really is huh” I say to the girl. As Maria walks towards me the girl looks at her “You are lucky to be Tony Perry girlfriend, and you are very beautiful.” The fan says as she walking away. “Girlfriend?”  Maria looks at me. I don’t say anything I just take her hand and lead her to my car.
