The Serpents

"Maybe I'll bring you good luck." Blue catches the end of Veronica's words to Kevin as she enters the lounge.

"Great, another night, another hag." Kevin says as Blue sits next to him.

"Hey guy-" before Blue could greet, she was cut off by a certain bombshell.

"Speaking of hags, Veronica, it's so devastating to me that your mother has to sink to such unspeakable lows just to keep those knockoff Hermes bags on your arm," Cheryl starts "What's next, selling her hair extensions?" she fakes concern.

"My mom's a waitress, Cheryl, not Fantine." Veronica tells her "And your faux concern reeks of ulterior motive, What is it?"

"Only to remind you of your place in this school, nay, the town's social hierarchy." Cheryl answers her.

"Threatened much, don't worry, you may be a stock character from a 90s teen movie," Veronica stands up "But I'm not, and what does any of this have to do with my mom being a waitress?" she asks her.

"It's just that I saw her talking to a South Side Serpent last night, in the alley behind Pop's," she reveals "They were having an extremely heated, intimate discussion." she then takes her phone out and turns it to show them a photo "See for yourself." Kevin had stood to see, but Blue chose to stay where she was in her seat, craning her neck she sees the picture taken of Hermione and a guy who wore a leather jacket similar to the one she always wears aside from that the guy was pretty much hidden.

"Who or what is a South Side Serpent?" Veronica asks as she turns facing Kevin after Cheryl left.

"They're this gang of bikers who pretty much stays on the south side of town, and thank god, cause they're sort of dangerous," Kevin explains "Drug dealers and petty thieves."

"Then what was my mom doing with one of them?" she asks rhetorically.

"Don't overthink it, V," Blue tells her "It's probably nothing, you know Cheryl would do anything to manipulate you into thinking too much about nothing." she tries to assure her.

"Maybe, but I'll have to talk to mom and see what she has to say about it." V tells them.

It was later in the day, Blue went to Pop's to get food even though she ate enough at lunchtime in school, upon entering she surveyed the place to find B, V and Arch sitting in a booth talking.

After ordering she went to greet them only to find Archie get up, wave her goodbye then leave.

"What's wrong with him?" she asked them sitting in his place.

"We just had an argument." Betty told her.

"Let me guess, about our little not so little music teacher." Blue said making both girls to look at each other in shock "What you thought I won't figure it out, come on B give some credit, I was there when Doiley fessed up." she reminded her.

"Anyway, what're you planning on doing?" she asks her.

"I have no idea, I mean I told Archie, I'll drop it, but still the fact that there isn't anything on her for more than a year is sketchy." Betty explains

"Then you start from there, know if she really is who she says she is." Blue tells her.

"Don't put ideas into her head!" Veronica scolds her.
