After the two boys broke away Hide blushed and stood staring at the ground. Hide spoke, "So I guess this means we're a thing." Hide looked up at Kaneki who had a shocked expression on his face, the orange haired boy almost apologized but he realized that Kaneki was looking behind him and not at him. Hide slowly turned to look but what he saw terrified him, it was a large man whose mask was of a demon from hell. However the half not covered by the mask seemed to have been chewed off, the only saving grace that made it resemble a face was the red pupil glaring at Hide. The grotesque figure spoke, "Are you going to share boy? You obviously had a taste already, I'm hungry and I need to heal so hand him over and no one gets hurt."
Hide began to step back but tripped over his own feet and lost his footing sending him to the ground. Kaneki stood shocked and didn't know what to do, the large figure began walking up to Hide, his Kagune slowly unraveled from his back and raised above his shoulders which resembled a scorpions stinger.
"This won't hurt for long," a murderous smile crossed the mans face as his blood stained teeth flashed.
Kaneki finally spoke, "Leave now you filthy slug!" Hide was startled by the sudden anger in Kaneki's voice, he quickly snapped his head to the voice behind him. Kanekis usual calm frame had been washed away and replaced by a red-eyed dark figure, and the red glow of his Kagune gave him an eerie glow.
The large man huffed and let out an obscene boisterous laugh, "HAHAHA!, What are you planning to do figh-?"
Before the man could finish his sentence a flash of speed whizzed by him and struck him from behind. The man let out a gurgled cry and he began beating his kagune frantically around him hoping to strike the figure that attacked him. Hide noticed Kaneki was no longer behind him, but by taking the risk of looking he couldn't maneuver around the mans frantics attacks. The mans kagune slashed Hides face, causing him to let out a painful .cry as blood clouded his own vision.
