^Third Person^
For the rest of the day, Katsuki suck by Izuku's side, making sure Ejirou wouldn't come back to mark him. They played an intense game of volleyball and swam a race, Katsuki coming third. But, it was now time for the 'test of courage'. It was night time and they were all gathered outside a dark cave.
"Alright. We'll be holding the test of courage now. You'll be with your roommate and go in at 2 minute intervals. We'll go by room numbers. So room 1, you're up." Aizawa explained.
Ochaco and Toga entered the cave, a torch in hand as they disappeared into the darkness. After a few minutes, the next two entered, being Shigiraki and Mr. Compress. It kept going, Izuku and Dabi leaving. As the darkness engulfed them, Dabi took hold of Izuku's hand. Izuku shone the torch across the cave, scanning everything top to bottom. He was trying to keep as calm as possible on the outside but was terrified on the inside. He squeezed Dabi's hand, flinching at every sound whether it be a bat, drip of water or a rock being kicked. He wanted to reach the end so badly.
"Calm down, Izu. You're going to break my hand at this point." Dabi chuckled as Izuku's face flushed red, loosening his grip.
"S-sorry. I'm not g-good with anything h-horror related," He said, stepping closer to Dabi at the sound of faint screams in the distance. "I just want to get out of here."
Thud, thud, thud. Faint footsteps sounded all around the duo, scaring Izuku even more. Thud, thud, thud. A loud ear-piercing shriek blared in their ears, causing them to stumble to their knees as they covered their ears. The torch landed on the ground in front of Izuku, shining over a tall figure in the distance. The shriek died down, and in it's place, a low cackle filled the air. Dabi grabbed the torch and lifted Izuku up, shining the light directly onto the being in front of them. A banshee like wail sounded as the figure disbursed, leaving the two alone.
"This is already better than the last courage test. This is right up my alley." Dabi commented, grabbing Izuku's wrist and leading him down the dark tunnel.
They continued down, receiving a few bats to the face as well as a lot of screeching and distant screams. Dabi was having the time of his life while Izuku was scared out of his mind. He kept as close as possible to Dabi while frantically scanning the place. Not one rock went unnoticed by his emerald gaze. Figures popped up here and there, ghoulish, disgusting creatures all around. The 2-b male brushed it all off, basking in the horror cave as he continued forward. A bright light shone in the distance, relieving the greenette as he sprinted forwards, dragging Dabi with him.
'Finally!' Izuku mentally exclaimed, rushing towards the light.
Reaching it, a huge smile spread across his face, only to be replaced with confusion and fear as he stared across a giant waterfall. It lead down to a pitch black ravine below. Izuku gulped down a lump in his throat as he stared across the large body of water flowing rapidly down to the ravine. Stepping stones barely visible created a path to the other side. The lights above started to flicker before dimming down greatly. Shrouded in almost complete darkness, Dabi shone the torch onto the stepping stones poking out of the water.
"W-what do we d-do?" Izuku stuttered, turning to Dabi who was thinking.
He didn't say anything. Instead, he placed the torch in his mouth and picked the greenette up. Giving no warning, he jumped over to the first rock. He continued to the second and third, so on so forth. At the goth one, he threw Izuku to the other side, landing safely on the solid ground. He made his way over, jumping off the last rock and onto the ground.
"There. Wasn't that easy?" Dabi commented, helping Izuku back up onto his feet.
"Y-yeah... thanks." Izuku nodded, following after Dabi as he walked off.
They soon reached the exit, finding the other 11 pairs that went before them waiting. Izuku ran over to Ochaco and Tenya, relief washing over his face.
"You alright Deku-kun?" Ochaco asked.
"Yeah, yeah. Just glad to be out of there." Izuku sighed, a small smile present on his face.
"Well, I'm glad you're alright." Tenya exclaimed while waving around his robot arms.
They continued to chat as the other pairs made their way out, relief washing over some, others collapsing on the ground and a few with smirks on their faces. Aizawa and All for One made their way over, counting the students.
"Alright everyone. Those who didn't give up, you all get to stay up till 12. Those who did though, dinner than bed, no complaints," Al for One said, groans echoing around in the air. "Get moving."
Everyone headed back to the resort, finding dinner already set out for them. They all ate like it was their last meal ever, stuffing their faces full. After a few minutes, all the food was gone. Those who gave up in the test headed off to bed while those who didn't either: watched horror movies, played all sorts of games or relaxed in the hot springs. Izuku decided it was best to relax after being in that cave. He sunk into the hot water, a sigh escaping his lips as he closed his eyes. Others joined him in the hot springs, either chatting or just chillaxing. It was a nice night after the 'test of courage'.
